In Maryland, they unleash attack dogs against student protesters.
Let the dogs loose
In Maryland, students attending Northwestern High School in Hyattsville, Maryland have been protesting against intolerable conditions at their high schools, such as forty kids in classrooms designed to hold only twenty-five, bad, virtually inedible food, as well as against the way students and teachers are treated by the administration.
As a result, police invaded their school with attack dogs and several students were arrested for what the school administration called - get this - "thought crimes." (We can't have our high school students getting so uppity these days that they are becoming so bold as to think.)
This is just one more instance of the para-military clampdowns undertaken by police nationwide as they try to snuff out Occupy protests as well as protests on high school and college campuses.

Sad. The top people in administration are nothing, the teachers are having their jobs cut and the results will be seen for years in the future of these kids. And yet... rather than address the problem - the solution is to send dogs on them? Crazy.

Thought crimes?? I was not aware thinking was a crime. Setting dogs on children is the crime here and administration should be ashamed of themselves... its called standing up for your beliefs...seems the freedom to express yourself is being taken away piece by piece and that is sad indeed.

Indeed ity is sad, and the public schools these days are designed to dumb kids down. "Shut up, sit down, don't ask questions, do what you're told." Parents are better off homeschooling their kids, and so are the kids.

I have walked through the school yards of a few Junior High Schools and I have never noticed any reticense on the part of the students. I needed an attack dog to get through the jumping, yelling, running, screaming, maniacal frenzy of the students. Good article, Steve. I do think all students should be home-schooled. En masse, they are frightening.
