Barack Obama is Home and Dry, for Sure
President is standing for re-election. there is more than an even chance that he will win
Obama and his second Term
The US presidential election is due in 2012. Without doubt this is the most imortant election in the world, as the man os becomes the president of the USA will preside over the globe as a power broker. The United States is the most powerful nation with global reach. It also controls the monetary regime of the world and the dollar is the world standard for trade and commerce. The US President sits over the globe like Atlas.
President Obama is standing for re-election. It will be his second term if he is re-elected. After the 22nd amendment, the US Congress has limited a American to only 2 consecutive terms as president. Thus Obama who has already completed one term can run only for another term. Either he wins and becomes president for another term or he becomes a one term president and goes into history accordingly. Generally it has been seen that the incumbent president has more than a positive chance of getting a seconfd term. Thus Obama will enter the race with an advantage. In the last 65 years only 2 presidents failed to get elected for a second term. Thus the odds are stacked in Obama's favor.
One other factor going in favor of Obama is the weak candidates opposing him. Without going in for names and personalities, its safe to say that they lack the charisma and appeal of Obama. His opponents are resorting to personal attacks. Some have even labled him a communist out to destroy America. Nothing could be further from the truth. Obama is working hard on the economy and he has processed a subtle shift in foreign polcy. There is thus reason to surmise that Obama will be home and dry to don the mantle of the US president for another term.
