Brutal Breading
Do you remember the viral internet crazes that seemed really silly, like planking, owling or Tebowing? Daft as you thought those, this latest thing must surely take the biscuit.
A facebook group has been set up especially so that cruel cat owners can ridicule their pets in public by dressing them in bread, taking pictures and uploading them.
Breading - so-called - is yet another crazy attempt at setting up the latest barmy internet trend, combining supposedly random behaviour with the favourite animal for web snaps. These 'walking sandwich' snaps already have attracted over has 10,000 fans, even suggesting that the tiger bread be the preferred option for use.
Breading Two
Resultant photos uploaded by enthusiastic cat-owners, may well be amusing in one way, but in another they are cruel and exploitative - despite the claim by the 'Gawker' website that is really is The thing that all 'Cool' kids are doing, and that nobody can stop talking about it.
Breading Three
This totally crass breading craze may not, in fact be quite the viral movement it first seemed, and whilst some cat lovers have condemned it, and others labelled it a joke, there is a body of opinion that cutting a hole in a piece of bread and putting it around a cat’s head is actually cruel.
Breading Four
To a cat, their whiskers and ears are vitally important for the majority of their sensory perception, and putting something over their heads has a very profound effect on these abilities, so much so that their hearts beat faster and they get stressed. In that respect this practice could be seen as a form of torture and should be stopped. Unbelievable, what surfers find amusing.
