How colours can effect our lives and the way we can use it to our benefit.
- Colours affect us more then you think
- Not just for rooms
- Use colours to work for you
- -------And Finally-------
Colours affect us more then you think
Anyone involved in the use of colours, artistes, designers, decorator’s even florists will tell you how important the use of them in our life matter.
Colour can determine and even change our mood, with the correct use of colours we work better, feel better, and even love better.
Just imagine making love in a room painted black with a brown ceiling on a bed with Gray sheets, well I suppose it all depends on how desperate you are?
According to science each colour is associated with a specific vibration in fact a musical note, as two notes can clash and sound awful so can two clashing colours the colours in a room can have a direct influence on how you feel, even changing the lighting can have a profound effect.
Not just for rooms
This is not just for rooms it can be applied to business as in corporative colours, on web sites and even the colour to choose to wear for a particular situation or mood, the next time you feel sad or just not on top of the world try wearing bright red green or pink not necessarily together now that would get you noticed.
If you have to make a decision or fight out an argument wear red, when you want to be liked or have people feel good around you wear brown green or orange and if you want to get some feedback on an idea of yours or just to make people around you be more productive wear blue or yellow.
“Mere colour, unspoiled by meaning, and unallied with definite form, can speak to the soul in a thousand different ways.” Oscar Wilde
Use colours to work for you
You may think this is all bunkum but what’s the harm in trying? How about this one if you have a feeling of being under attack or you just want to feel you have a little protection then covering yourself in white it works! It really does, going on a date? Want to make sure you get your man? Then use the colours of love and romance pink or green, doctors often use these colours to promote healing.
Have you ever had someone say they know your mood? They might not realize it but it’s the colours you wear, they are sensing the message you are sending out, we all send out messages in our aura depending on how we feel and everyone can see and feel these auras without even knowing it. Colours mean so much in our lives and the sooner we get to understand and use them to our benefit the better.
"If there is light in the soul
There will be beauty in the person.
If there is beauty in the person
There will be harmony in the house.
If there is harmony in the house
There will be order in the nation.
If there is order in the nation
There will be peace in the world."
-------And Finally-------
If you will kindly indulge me, here is a poem I wrote some time ago, in a moment of colourful passion.
Memories of colours from the day before
The pure silk white of a tub of Carte D’Or
Wondering about the day that is to come
Daydreaming of colours that’s the rule of thumb
The green of the grass
The sky’s brightest of blue
Colours filter my eyes to allow hues to pass through
I feel calm with a blue as softly I tread
Then turn a corner into a red
Red is the colour I have on my bed
Excitement and energy, passion, desire
Flickering yellow from a dancing fire
Mauve and purple give a majestic twang, to the lavenders scent
Even the hard cold gray from builders cement
Memories of colours so sharp in my mind
As the nights black of sleep leave my colours behind
Then I awake to a brand new day
Once more to open my eyes to Mother Nature’s bouquet

Brother Johnny... great article indeed! I have always handled color-therapy and I believe in it! You did a great job, however! Your poem? Wondrous, touching and quite inspiring! Nice to have read this, Bro.
Warmest hugs and infinite heavenly blessings,

Color does affect our mood. pink and red attracts romance as well as green, like you said for healing. Glad to see you writing here.
