If true insanity in motoring is your thing, then look no further than these these super bright, super pimped-out trucks. These incredibly decorated and frankly hazardous beasts have been banned from Japanese roadways.

Naturally, the end results turn out to be vehicles so blindingly brightly illuminated that they are not road legal, simply because being so bright, they would blind or distract other drivers and so cause accidents that could otherwise be avoided.

No matter where you look on these wagons, you find spare space covered in outrageous bling, lights, murals, chrome and often small toys and other theme objects. So heavily laden with lights that they require special generators - fitted under the chassis - to power everything, even then only able to be operational for 20 minutes because of overheating due to electricity generation. Very definitely, and amusingly, toys for the boys, even if each one does cost a fortune to create and run.
