GOP to Women: Rape is Good

For male leaders in the GOP, women need to be controlled and owned by men.

Rape is good

The war on lady body parts goes on and on and on, with no sign of letting up any time soon. In Idaho, a Republican legislator has proposed a law which would require a woman seeking an abortion to undergo an ultrasound and to receive "counseling." The legislator adds, "If she was raped, her doctor should make sure she was really raped and was not just a participant in "normal relations in a marriage." (And no, I am not making this stuff up, I swear.) Alaska Republican State Senator Alan Dick (really) wants women who are seekling abortions to get not only an ultrasound, but also - get this - a written permission slip from the guy who raped them. (I'm not making this up either.) In Arizona it's going to be really tough, maybe nigh on impossible, to get an abortion if the Republicans prevail in their agenda, but if you can clear their formidable hurdles they will make you watch an abortion before you can have one. Then again, according to Abby Zimet on commondrerams.org..."the author of the Arizona bill requiring women to prove to their bosses they are using birth control pills for non-slutty reasons, or get fired, is rewriting the bill because apparently, bewilderingly, some people got upset. Funny: Why don't we feel better?"

Let's get serious

The assault on women's rights, particularly the war against women by GOP legislators in state legislatures all across red state America, will result in women abandoning the Republican Party in droves in this November's national election. The GOP must have a death wish. I would safely predict that because of their war on women's rights a sea change will occur all over America and a great number of state legilatures will end up in the control of Democrats for the first time in decades.

Someone is surely loosing their mind, and much more will be lost, I'm afraid. We desperately need term limits, so that sensible and intelligent NORMAL, RIGHT THINKING people can be in our government offices and not those with no brains!!

Men should get out of women's rights as regards birth control and abortion. Worry about men being responsible about their sexual habits. I will post a picture of a fat man trying to put on a condom. Love you, Steve, anyway.

A delicate issue to talk about. Ethics and morality is the issue I think. Thank you for sharing.

Not so delicate when men think they have the right to decide what's right for women. Thank you MD.

Good points, Steve. Is this what a star page looks like now with Wikinut. I just spent 2 weeks working on a paper and got no star. Hummm..I left after losing a draft or two and having huge chunky problems with the Wiki servers. Thought I would try one more time oh well.
