This article is about the world famous Golden Bridge. Its 75 years have gone and it is still in good condition.
Golden Gate in Sanfrancisco
In America, in San Francisco the World Famous Golden Gate Bridge had his 75th Anniversary on 27th May. This Bridge was famous in 1964 and became the Landmark of Suspension bridge is going to celebrate his 75th Anniversary. San Francisco is going to celebrate this Anniversary this whole year in which shows like Auto-show,Concert,Dance Show,Art International,Debate, Bridge based films, Bridge art Work will be Organized.Fire-Crackers will be also busted.
This Bridge is shown in many Bollywood and Hollywood films, also in the World,the most photographs are taken is of this Bridge. This Bridge is of 1.7 Miles and this bridge joints San Francisco and Marine County Headlands. The Construction of this Bridge was done in year 1937.
The Concept of this bridge was made in 1920 by the Engineer Joseph Strauss,but there were some issues for the Cost of this bridge.After 10 Years,the cost issue was solved and then they got the permission to make this Bridge. In 1933,the Construction of this bridge was started and then after a lots of hard work,day & night,after 5 years, this bridge was Constructed.Before the construction of the bridge,the communication between San Francisco and Marine County was with the help of boat. So this bridge was more important to Construct.Since its Construction,this bridge has been closed only 3 times,because of the speed of the breeze.
First,in the beginning,the bridge was open only for walking.Afterwards,slowly-slowly,this bridge was made open for the vehicles. The Bridge is of 2.7 Kms and there are 6 Lanes on this bridge. The width of bridge is 90 feet and height is 746 feet. 12 Lacs Bolt were used for the Construction.Earlier the Cost in 1933 was calculated to be 3.5 Crore Dollar,but in 1977,when calculated,there was reduction of 13 Lacs Dollar from the previous Approximation. During the Construction of this huge bridge,11 people were died.
