Aug 15, 2011: Be careful what you wish for... after asking for 'a big rock', a Canadian woman gets more than she bargained for, courtesy of her mayoral ex-husband...
'Happy Birthday Isa xx'
The people of St-Theodore-d'Acton, a small town near Montreal, woke up to a surprise on the morning of Sunday, 14th August. But they weren't as surprised as the mayor's ex-wife, who found the 20-ton boulder on her front lawn with the words 'Bonne Fête Isa xx' sprayed across it in dayglo paint with a frilly pink ribbon on top. It was a birthday present from her husband, the mayor and owner of a local excavation company, who was subsequently taken in for questioning after the woman reported the mischief to the police.
No Happy Returns
"My wife has always wanted a big rock," quipped the mayor. Well, now she's got one, a boulder in the mayor's own words of about '18-24 carat-tons', and her puckish spouse has refused to remove the offending pebble from her property. According to the Canadian Press, the local police force are considering charges of harassment and/or mischief, and probable violations of the highway code.

Well The mayor sure had the love and money to give his ex-wife the big rock but probably forgot that the authorities would come to look at it and cart it to the museum along with him for questioning...
