The recent opinion polls by 3 respected agencies put Obama 7-9 percentage points ahead of his rival Mitt Romney
The US Presidential Election
This week one piece of news would have gladdened Obama and his supporters. A opinion poll was conducted across America by 3 independent organizations. They were Reuters, CNN and Fox news. All 3 organizations came up with similar results. Results that won't make Romney happy. Conversely Obama and supporters will be happy. Maybe many will go and celebrate with a glass of wine.
The Surveys
All 3 surveys have givenObama a 7-9% ponts lead over Romney. This is a very significant lead and the best Obama ever had over his rival. It shows that Obama is pulling away from Romney who will have to do something to salvage the debate and his standing. What has happened is that the peoples attention has moved away from the economy to matters like security and foreign policy, which are the strong points of Obama
Factors ?
One reason could be the Olympics that has salvaged American pride, after the USA slid to no 2 positipn at Beijing. America is back to no 1 and American patriotism is over the moon. Romney , poor chap is unable to channel that patriotic ferver towards him and that is the reason possibly that has allowed Obama to leap frog ahead. Frankly Obama has not done too badly in his first term.
Last Word
The election is still some months away, but the writing is on the wall and it says Obama is going to sit in the Oval office again for another 4 years. He closed Iraq and didnt start a war and that is reason enough to re-elect him again.
