Scotty McCreery recorded a version of Tim McGraw's hit "Please Remember Me" and it will be this season's goodbye song.
"American Idol Season 11" Exit Song
The song was originally released by McGraw on March 22, 1999 as the first single from his album "A Place in the Sun." The single reached #1 and #10 spots in the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks and Hot 100 respectively. The song was written by Rodney Crowell and Will Jennings.
“Oh, man. That's really cool. I'm sure you nailed it.” said McGraw in response to McCreery's message to him that the song will be on Idol every week.
Scotty will be one of the few Idol alumni who recorded Idol exit songs. See below:

David Cook - Don't You (Forget About Me) (Season 10)
McCreery is currently touring with Brad Paisley and The Band Perry. He is balancing his life between singing, studying, playing baseball, touring and performing in his own shows. His debut album "Clear as Day" was certified platinum while his singles "I Love You This Big" and "The Trouble with Girls" both reached gold record status.
