Some things we can fight, some things we cant, some things we have to accept, some things we dont...all the thoughts and words in this article are mine, but I think I speak for many.
The “Status quo”
In Bangladesh, Christchurch NZ and now Japan, Mother Nature proves her power in unforgiving destruction, it’s almost as if she is proving to us that she is the law she is the creator the giver and the taker.
Man is merely a soupçon in her hands, allowed only to exist for only small period in time, and in that time she has allowed us to do as we wish, we need to make our short time here more beneficial to us all, in a peaceful world, free from ties and bonds and within the law.
The brave people who suffer the force of nature are an example to us all in how we should stand proud in the face of adversity living, in acceptance with the “Status quo”
However when man steps in to try to take control of our lives, it is then we should not except.
People will always rise up against the rule of fear, they stand and face the bullets and die in the name of freedom.
Despots and Autocrats
Day after day they returned to the place of protest to face the might of the evil force that had ruled their lives for so many years.
But now it has to stop, no more should the people bow to the tyranny of the dictator, no more should they give way to the might of the self-appointed despot, be it one man or a whole country.
“People should NOT fear their government. Government should fear their people”
Liberty is the aim, liberty is the goal for in the end, the wish of the people will triumph, walls have been pulled down, political dogma have failed, autocrats have fallen and authoritarianism has given way to democracy.
Stand up and be counted
The laws in which we live, serve as a social mediator of relations between people, and we have to live within the law.
We cannot fight nature we have to live with it, but we don’t have to live with tyranny, we are within the law, born as free men, we should die as free men.
We should be thankful to the brave people who face the power of nature and to those that face the power of tyranny; they are an example to us all.
And I quote
"In matters of truth and justice, there is no difference between large and small problems, for issues concerning the treatment of people are all the same."
~Albert Einstein~
"God speaks to me not through the thunder and the earthquake, nor through the ocean and the stars, but through the Son of Man, and speaks in a language adapted to my imperfect sight and hearing."
~William Lyon Phelps~

nature is out of our hands, but you are correct, there are things we can change.. the question is - will we? And do not forget about the horrific leaders in African countries.. too bad Africa does not have oil, or people living their might see more involvement from other nations to remove tyrant leaders.

Time is always on our side. As Ghandhi said, "Tyrants come and go, and in the end they always fall." Great article.

You are right Mark, a country’s resources can make a difference however as in china and maybe in Africa, people can voice their opinions and as in Egypt, Syria Etc. They can make changes without outside help.
Thanks to all for taking the time to read this and for your comments.

Nice presentation. It seems humankind has always been confused about what it has the power to change, and what it doesn't.
