The best shooter in NBA history
It is generally accepted that during the history of NBA basketball there are some great shooters that had played the game. Today I would like to share my opinion about the top 5 shooters that ever played the game. The list includes players from the past and active NBA players. Names are Lary Bird, Reggie Miller, Ray Allen, Kyle Korver and Stephen Curry.
To begin with, players that played in the past and firstly with Lary Bird.A great shooter that spend his basketball career with the Boston Celtics. He was a terrific shooter from 25 feet away and beyond the three-point line as well.Definitely, deserves to be in the conversation. Continuing, Reggie Miller had his best years as a pro with the Indiana Pacers. One of the best shooters and excellent from the free throw line, Miller has a percentage of 40+ percent from three during his career and made some big shots down the stretch. The third player that comes into the conversation is Ray Allen. Originally drafted by the Minnesota Timberwolves with the 5th overall pick and played with four different teams, the Milwaukee Bucks, the Seattle Supersonics, the Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat. It is easy to say that Allen has his best seasons as a pro with the Boston Celtics and achieve to win a championship with them back in 2008. He became an NBA champion once again in 2014 with the Miami Heat and had a big contribution on this because he was the man that send game 6 vs San Antonio Spurs into overtime with a crucial three-pointer that tied the game late in the fourth quarter. Allen was a brilliant shooter behind the arc and an excellent foul shooter as well with almost 90 percent from the line. Without question is one of the most brilliant shooters that ever played the game a guy who has made some big baskets in crucial times. What could we say this guy was clutch!Kyle Korver is an active NBA player that plays for the Atlanta Hawks. Kyle is a 14-year veteran and the one thing that actually knows well is shooting the basketball. One of the best spot shooters in the history of the game Korver has a reputation of made some impossible shot during his career.
But to me, the best three-point shooter in NBA history is Stephen Curry. This guy is simply amazing. Curry was drafted in 2009 by the Golden State Warriors with the 7th overall pick. By the time Curry entered it the NBA he started to show his ability right from the start. Every season has a percentage above forty percent from behind the arc during his seven years as a pro. He can shoot after the pick and roll after the dribble and his is an excellent catch and shot shooter. He has a very deep range possibly the best we have see in the NBA history and he is one of the very few players that has a 50/40/90 season which means, 50 percent from the field, 40 percent from the three-point line and 90 percent of his free throws. He can easily create his own shot and he is the only player in NBA history that has made 400 three-pointers in a single season! This guy is a nightmare for every defense and he is still 27 years old! The sure thing is, that the sky is the limit for Steph Curry!!
