Walcott - The Emirates is our fortress
Theo Walcott praises his team mates effort in turning the Emirates Stadium into Arsenal's 'fortress' ahead of the Manchester City clash.
Walcott: The Emirates is starting to become a fortress
Arsenal's amazing 7 win streak came to an unlikely end against QPR, which saw the Gunners lose against the relegation battling side 2-1. Arsene Wenger's men did extremely well to clinch a 3 place spot in the Premier League, after winning their last 7, and passing Tottenham - who were only weeks ago 10 points in front of Arsenal.
Arguably one of their most difficult games is approaching the Gunners, as they prepare the face title competitors Manchester City at home. Victory for the Gunners could end the title hopes of Manchester City this season, and hand it to Manchester United to win.
Ahead of the clash, Walcott has encouraged his team mates and the Arsenal fans by claiming that their Emirates Stadium is turning into a fortress for them.
"The Emirates is starting to become a fortress, which is what we want it to be. That is with the help of the fans, they develop that.
"Away fans and players don't like to come to the Emirates, especially over the last few months. It helps us players, it is like having an extra man on the field."
Arsenal will also be hoping for a boost before the end of the season as they hope Jack Wilshere will be ready for the final parts of the 2011/2012 Premier League, and help Arsenal cement that top 3 finish, and a Champions League place next year.
