This particular pattern set is highly unusual, in that there appeared to be no good explanation of how they got there, as there was no obvious sign of the breaking any of the wheat in the field around them.

Washington Crop Circles

In a field some 10 miles from the Grand Coulee dam - Bureau of Reclamation claim this is the largest producer of hydropower in the USA - a farmer is baffled by the appearance of mysterious crop circles in his Eastern Washington wheat field, though not too worried about it, to be honest.

Greg and Cindy Geib own the field, and choose to laugh about the whole thing, especially the idea of aliens having landed to leave a cosmic message, the pattern of flattened wheat spotted off Highway 174, some 5 miles north of the Wilbur township.

Amazingly, these patterns in the wheat have been likened to both four-leaf clovers and Mickey Mouse ears constructed - if you will - by flattening around an acre of their wheat, most of which will probably be salvaged by combine harvesters when harvesting begins in mid-August.

Naturally, the Giebs do not have any insurance against damage by extraterrestrials, and such patterns have appeared regularly in the area for the past few years, hardly surprising as crop circle creation has been a worldwide phenomenon for decades.
Lynne Brougher, public affairs officer for the Grand Coulee dam, hadn’t heard about the latest crop circles but said the previous one was no cause for alarm.

This particular pattern set is highly unusual, in that there appeared to be no good explanation of how they got there, as there was no obvious sign of the breaking any of the wheat in the field around them. Considering how hard it is to walk through a wheat-field without leaving any sign of breakage.

Greg Gieb cannot suppress a chuckle in commenting that he simply cannot give any genuine thought to the idea of alien creators, though he concedes quiet happily that the crop circle has given the family something to both wonder and giggle about, saying that if the kids wish to believe in alien visitation, he is happy to go along with it.
