Where Are the Women?

Why is it that men are always deciding on health and reproductive issues of women?
Where are the women?
If, as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words, nothing underscores that truth better than the picture which accompanies this article. At a Congressional hearing yesterday about the reproductive health of women, chairman Darrel Issa, Republican of California, unbelievably, allowed no women to be present, stating "the subject at hand is not women's healthcare or contraception but 'freedom of religion.'" Issa titled the hearing "Lines crossed: Separation of Church and State. Has the Obama Administration Trampled on Freedom of Religion and Freedom of Conscience?"
How is it that women's issues are always decided by men? If men could get pregnant, contraception would be free. Condoms and birth control pills and devices would be issued free. If men got pregnant, abortion would be free on demand.

If men could have babies there would be no children in the world haha! ouch the pain.
It is wrong woman issues should be solved by woman.
But to some men us woman are stupid, and we know nothing! Its still a mans world out there but it shouldn't be.

I think so many men in power have the 'God Complex' Steve.. You see the same in the church when women wanted to be ordained..How can we ever move forward with powerful men's attitudes still stuck in the past?

An excellent article on a tough subject Steve. Here in Canada in the poorer parts of my community a Nurse Practitioner gives out birth control for both men and women for free for those without $. Is she busy. Sadly usually not, as the welfare system is VERY generous here.

O.K. Probably because women are too emotional about this. There might well be crying, accusations, hopefully just verbal attacks. The same reason I would not get on a plane to England if I found out the pilot was a woman.

What? I wouild trust a woman pilot over a man anytime. Men have to prove their macho, and that scares me when I get on a plane. Thanks for commenting Ivyevelyn.
