Sport is one thing that has brought the whole world together, the uniqueness of sport so far cannot be push aside. It has contributed happiness and peace to the world, if sport standard not check now, what will be the situation in future.
Wrong Officiating Of Sport Matches
This can be described as a way in which sport matches in regardless of the sport event like football, beach soccer; cricket, hockey, wrestling etc are being officiated by virtue of influence. This can direct or indirect influence which can be associated with bribery, sport association personal interest, referee, sport fans. Now, is about sport politics, nepotism and favorism.
The reason behind this is best known to those involved. This issue is deteriorating the standard of sport all over the world. Some of the reasons are as follows;
Some team stands as favorite leaving other teams to their destiny. When team stands as favorite, sport body influence such matches with the power. Every necessary thing is done to make them to win such match.
Few referee do such intentional due to threat fans, bribe. This match fixing is increasing day by day. Racism is not left out in sport which has created hatred and differences among continent.
While referee that did such unintentionally should have forgotten sport rules which allow mistake to set in when match are on.
Sport association or body lack of fund to upgrade sport facilities to check such occurrence. Poor payment of referee salary also contributed to it, we cannot push aside inadequate security when match are on.
In other to check these problems, it is necessary for new policy to be in place. This policy should give room for replay, good technology new to be introduced as well to detect discrepancy in event it occurs.Referee must be fine when is done intentionally.
Referee must go for further training; media need to be use as a platform to kick against wrong officiating in sport.
For sport to grow, we need love, unity and God fearing heart to redeem this standard. The world will benefit more from it than to bring it down.
