Alarming news about the plan of North Korea to have a rocket launch. Hope Philippines will be safe.

NoKor Rocket Launch

I heard the news last weekend about this rocket launch by Korea taking place anytime or any day this week. Sad thing about it is that there is no way to stop the Koreans in doing it and there is nothing more we can do. Philippines cannot convince them and even the international community even if they received complains and protests already to stop the rocket launch.

Philippines does not have the capability to intercept the falling debris like what South Korean and Japanese can do. So, here all we can do is to guess where these debris would likely fall and just inform fishermen, aircraft, ships and residences to keep watch and stay inside this week. The National Disaster and Risk Management Council has already issue a no-fly zone during these times.

These countries does not care anymore, just because they are more high-tech and more technologically advance they don't mind if that rocket may hurt or kill other people. I cannot understand why these people won't think of others but only themselves. No longer considering the consequences of their actions.

Though, others say this activity should not really be alarming or cause panic because they can be safe once the rocket is in the outer space and the falling debris would somehow disintegrate as it falls back to earth.

Supposed to be it will be launched today but I read the unfavorable weather halts for now the rocket launch. What a relief! maybe it is an answered prayer.

This rocket launch coincide with North Korea's plan to launch satellite into space together with their celebration of the 100th anniversary of Kim Il Sung's birth. I have read two views about this, others say it will be completely safe, others does not really know how things will be.

I just so hope that it won't cause problem here in the Philippines. Hope the rocket launch will follow a safe trajectory, and will miss the Philippines.

what is it mam ivyevelyn, if anything bad happens it should only be in North Korea because they own the rocket.

They launched it and it was a failure. I think the rocket just disintegrated in their own place.
