Country rock band A Thousand Horses has thundered onto the Nashville Music scene and is stampeding up the music charts.

New Country music group A Thousand Horses earned a number one for their debut single “Smoke”; a song that has also earned the band their first award nomination with Country Music Television's Group Video of the Year Award and has been certified gold by the RIAA – Recording Industry Association of America – for selling over 500,000 copies/downloads. A Thousand Horses also became the first band of at least three members to have a debut single in the number one position on the Billboard Country Music Airplay Chart since 2008 with “Chicken Fried” by the Zac Brown Band.

Fans of the most recent “Footloose” film got a taste of what A Thousand Horses has to offer with their single “Suicide Eyes”, which appears on the movie soundtrack.

On June 9, the band released their debut album “Southernality” - a mix of Southern and personality. “Southernality” features 13 original songs written by members of the band. The album debut at number three on the BillboardCountry music chart.

The nine piece band's music is a cross between Country music and Southern Rock.

Currently on tour with Darius Rucker, the band will release their second single “(This Ain't No) Drunk Dial” on June 29.
