Obituary for actor and daytime drama star Nathaniel Marston.

Actor Nathaniel Marston died November 11 in Reno, Nevada from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on October 30 at the age of 40. Along with his injuries – a broken neck, shoulder, ribs, five vertebrae, and suffered internal injuries; Marston was also fighting pneumonia and a heart infection. His mother reported that Nathaniel died peacefully in her arms.

Marston's mother Elizabeth Jackson reported that her son was sober at the time of the accident; but reportedly he fell asleep at the wheel and upon waking over-corrected a drift into the oncoming lane; resulting in the vehicle flipping over several times. Police reports state that Marston was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown thrrough the windshield. An investigation into the incident is underway.

Marston's mother reported that had her son survived, he would most likely lived out his life as a quadriplegic using a ventilator.

While he appeared in a number of productions, Marston is best known for his role as Dr. Michael McBain on the daytime drama “One Life to Live”. He also appeared as Al Holden in an earlier role on the show.

Along with his roles in “One Life to Live”, Marston appeared in 14 other film and television productions beginning with his 1996 debut as Jack Tisdale in six episodes of the television series “Matt Waters”. From there he went on to appear in “The Craft”, “Love is All There Is”, “Educating Matt Waters”, as Eddie Silva in three episodes of the daytime drama “As the World Turns”, “Ordinary Sinner”, “Monday Night Mayhem”, “Ciao America”, “The Paw” - which he also produced, “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit”, “White Collar”, “Castle”, “Blue Bloods”, and his final role in 2011 in “Walk a Mile in My Pradas”.

Along with his acting on the screen, Marston appeared in the theater; performing in “A Delicate Arrangement”, “A Stone Carver”, and “The Paw”.

Nathaniel Marston was born July 9, 1975 in Sharon, Connecticut but moved to Kauai, Hawaii at the age of three and then returned to the mainland to San Diego, California when he was 10 years old. Marston began his acting career after graduating from high school where he started out as a commercial actor; appearing in a total of 194 episodes of the daytime drama.

Marston is survived by his wife Rita, mother, and siblings.

I am sorry to learn about the death of actor Nathaniel Marston. May his soul find eternal peace at last. He will be missed beyond words.
