Atlanta Braves sign pitcher Dana Eveland to a minor league contract on Sunday

The Atlanta Braves on Sunday have signed left handed relief pitcher Dana Eveland to a minor league contract since they are in desperate need of relief pitchers on their baseball right now. Eveland will be reporting to the Gwinnett Braves on Monday.

Left handed relief pitcher Dana Eveland, 31, to a minor league contract on Sunday. Eveland was pitching for the Pawtucket Red Sox which is the AAA minor league farm team of the Boston Red Sox this current baseball season when he was released from his minor league contract on June 3, 2015 since Eveland was not going to be called up to pitch for the Red Sox this current baseball season soon.
The Braves who are currently in third place in the National League East Division with a record of 27 wins and 29 losses which places them three games behind the New York Mets who are the division leaders.
Eveland will likely be used as a relief pitcher during the 2015 baseball season when the Atlanta Braves are likely to promote him to the team in the near future since they are need of relief pitchers to help win baseball games this year so they can contend for a playoff spot this year.
Eveland was the 16th round draft choice of the Milwaukee Brewers in the 2002 Major League Baseball Draft out of the College Of The Canyons which is located in Santa Clarita California after he transferred from Hill College in Hillsboro Texas after his freshman year in college. .
Eveland has pitched for the Milwaukee Brewers, Arizona Diamondbacks, Oakland Athletics, Toronto Blue Jays, Los Angeles Dodgers, Baltimore Orioles, Hanwha Eagles which is a South Korean baseball team located in Daejeon South Korea during the 2013 baseball season and the New York Mets in 2014.
Eveland signed a minor league contract with the Boston Red Sox before the start of the 2015 baseball season. Eveland did not make the Red Sox roster after the spring training sessions ended. Eveland spent the entire 2015 baseball season with the Pawtucket Red Sox before he was released on June 3, 2015.
The Braves are hoping that Eveland can be able to help their team improve their chances of winning some baseball game for the remainder of the current baseball season when he gets promoted to the team later on this month.
