The British government has decided to compensate the Mau Mau rebellion warriors some 13.5 million pounds

Britain agrees settlement for Kenya’s Mau Mau atrocities

The British Government Has agreed to compensate Kenya (MAu MAu fighter) freedom fighters. This comes after a long court battles. The British government oped for an out of court settlement that amounted to 13.5 million pounds which is equivalent to 1.8 Kenya shilling.

MAu Mau was a group that was fighting for Kenya rights during the period of 1952 to 1963. A lot of them were killed, Maimed and even persecuted during Kenya's struggle for independence.

This is a good step to healing the wounds afflicted during that time
