One of the largest manufacturers of frozen foods is recalling their popular chicken nuggets. Find out if you are in for a refund.

Tyson Foods Voluntarily Recalls Their Chicken Nuggets

A recall on chicken nuggets? Say it ain't so! Well, to the chagrin of millions of consumers, Tyson Foods recalled over 75,000 pounds of their popular 5-pound bags of frozen white meat chicken nuggets. Why? Buyers of this product are complaining about finding plastic in their food.

What You Need to Know

The tainted chicken nugget bags were sold at Sam's Club's stores.

Yes, patrons of Sam's Club got the brunt of this mess. A small number of them nationwide reported finding small pieces pieces of plastic in their chicken nuggets. These incidents prompted the corporate heads at Tyson Foods to do a voluntary recall.

Tyson chicken nuggets in smaller packaging were not affected.

The recalled chicken nuggets were produced in two days on a single line at one of the company’s 40 chicken production facilities. For this reason, other Tyson Foods' products were 'okay.' There is no news as of yet on the cause of this fiasco.

Consumers who purchased the recalled chicken can get refunded.

If you are one of the unlucky Sam Club's members to purchase a 5-pound bag of chicken nuggets manufactured by Tyson, you can get a refund. The UPC number on the affected products is 0-23700-02178 6 or 300-23700-02178 7, Item # 16142-928. Manufacturer’s codes are 0264SDL0315 through 0319 or 0474SDL0311 through 0314. Also, lots feature “best if used by” dates of Jan 26, 2015 or Feb 16, 2015. In order to get your money back, cut the UPC and date code from the back of the bag and mail it to the following address for a full refund:

Tyson Foods – CP631
P.O. Box 2020
Springdale, AR 72765-9989
