Left knee injury sidelines Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving on Sunday

The Cleveland Cavaliers third year guard Kyrie Irving will not be playing in the third game of the best of seven National Basketball Association Eastern Conference Finals versus the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday due to tendinitis on his left knee.
The Cavaliers will have guard Matthew Delavedova replace Irving on the court on Sunday at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland Ohio.
The Cavaliers are leading the best of seven series 2-0 over their rivals the Atlanta Hawks. Irving has been battling an injury to his right foot that was injured during the third game of the Eastern Conference Semi Finals versus the Chicago Bulls.
Irving did a warmup session with his teammates wearing a knee brace this weekend but since the Cavaliers have a two games to zero lead over the Hawks, the Cavaliers do not want to rush Irving to play basketball with injuries to his left knee and right foot since they two wins away from making it to the National Basketball Association Finals for the first time since the 2006-2007 basketball season if they can win their two games at the Quicken Loans Arena which will take place on Sunday and Tuesday.
Irving did not play in the second game of the Eastern Conference Finals due to tendinitis in his left knee.
On Friday Irving went to Florida to have his knee injury examined by Doctor James Andrews who informed the Cavaliers that Irving has tendinitis in his left knee.
The Cavaliers are hoping that Irving will be able to play in the 2015 National Basketball Associations Finals which will start on June 4, 2015.
The Cavaliers will have to win their next two basketball games versus the Hawks to achieve their goal of representing the Eastern Conference in the 2015 National Basketball Association Finals.
