Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) central Leader Md. Nasiruddin Pintu has died for heart attack in Rajshahi Central Prison yesterday for the lack of treatment in the prison who was imprisoned for a false claim of Bangladesh Border Guard mutiny by the ruling party. The doctor, media and everyone is blaming the prison officers and the Bangladeshi Government for this death as he was sent to Rajshahi prison against court's order.

Md. Nasiruddin Ahmed Pintu

Md. Nasiruddin Ahmed Pintu is a famous politician in the capital of Bangladesh and also all over the country of Bangladesh. He started his political life first being a small ward leader of Bangladesh Nationalist Chatrodol which is the student organization of BNP. From the beginning of his political life being a student he proved his good quality of political knowledge and techniques. For this reason he didn't take so much time to be a central leader. At first he became the president of the student organization within a short time and became a fear for the Awami League's government before 2001. After finishing his student life and proving him as a great leader, He became the member of the parliament in 2001 by joining the central BNP. He was always at the front of any type of protest against crimes and arrested several times.

Accusation Against Pintu

On 5 November 2013, Pintu had been sentenced to life term imprisonment in the country’s largest-ever case of killing at the Pilkhana Headquarters of now-defunct Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) in February, 2009. He was awarded punishment for so called accusation of instigating the mutineers to carry out the massacre that left a total of 74 people, including 57 army officials, killed inside Pilkhana.

How Pintu Died

The BNP leader was “brought dead” to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital at 12:15pm on 3rd May 2015, Brig Gen AKM Nasiruddin, director of the hospital said. He was suffering from several health problems like diabetes, heart disease and so on. As he was suffering from several problems, the DG of the Rajshahi Central Prison sent a letter to the hospital for treatment support for him. Pintu's health was checked up on 25th April but the head of the Cardiology Department Dr. Rois Uddin Ahmed went to the prison for routine check up but he couldn't meet Pintu for not having the permission by a Deputy Prisoner before the day of Pintu's death and in the next day he died. Dr. Rois uddin said Pitu was taken to the hospital after 20/30 minutes after of his death where the hospital was just opposite side of the road from the prison. So the blame for not giving treatment totally goes to the prison officials.

Accusation Against Government for the Death

Bangladeshi prime minister, Sheikh Hasina is also performing as Home minister as this ministry is under her. There was a clear order by the high court that as Nasiruddin Ahmed Pintu had health complications, he was supposed to keep in the central jail of capital for the right of his better treatment but the government first sent him to Narayangong and later shifted to Rajshahi Central Prison where he died for the lack of treatment. So the BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, other BNP leaders and Pintu's family members are blaming the Government as well planned murder.

Great Loss

Bangladeshi has lost a great leader who was expert in organization and politics. He was very famous. He became the member of parliament in a very young age. Nasiruddin Ahmed Pintu has died in his 48 years old. He born on September 1, 1967. How much he was accepted, it is visible to see his funeral. Thousands of people attended his funeral Namaz-e-janaza in several places. So it is cleared that Bangladesh had a great loss, it has lost one of his good leaders. The carefulness and lawfulness can save this type of great loss. The Bangladeshi people are wishing him heaven.
