Governor Willard Mitt Romney: Liar, Liar Pants on fire! Part I

Mr. Romney did a 60 minutes interview with Scott Pelley, one which I missed. I missed it that is, until a fellow wikinut writer wrote a story about this interview that also included the you tube video of this meeting. The can of worms was then opened.

Must Prove

I did not vote for Mitt Romney during the primaries, my vote was laid else where but in the end, the republican nominee ended up being Mitt Romney. I knew I could never vote for President Barack Hussein Obama because, I 'know' what he has done to our country and I have had enough of his policies.

I had no intentions of ever voting for President Obama but, I also have not been 100% on Mr. Romney's bandwagon. Well that is up until I saw the clip of Mr. Romney's interview with Scott Pelley on my fellow writers page. I do not say this lightly by no means.

When I left a message telling this writer, that the video he provided, has now convinced me to get up on Tuesday morning November 6 and cast my vote for Mr. Romney. I was then called a liar by him but, no I am not a liar! I was at about 60% of the point that, I will get up and cast my vote for Governor Romney, when I arrived at this writers page.

I do have to admit, 60% is not that high but, it was all I could muster at that time. Where I live (Alabama) the candidates usually skip our state, as we are usually a given to vote republican. I have seen very few ads on the candidates and just clips of speeches. I was not even interested in doing my research (100%, yet) on this man until I saw that clip.

I have always been for states rights and that clip states that yes, this former Governor also believes in states rights. Is this the only thing that he stated that I like, well no and I will go about explaining just what I did like what he had to say and why he will get my vote.

Mitt's Words...

To my dismay, I have had to remove the you tube video clip of the 60 minutes interview of Governor Romney with Scott Pelley, as CBS has blocked the showing of it, other than on their site, there choice. CBS does have the transcript of the interview, I am sorry but, the only way I can prove what I will write will be the truth, is if you will pop over to CBS.com.

I apologize for the inconvenience.

Here are a few things I have taken away from this interview...

I love the fact that Mr. Romney understands that each state has their own representatives and they each should have a say in how our country is governed. We do not put in place two senators (for each state) and our representatives in the house, just so they can get a free visit to Washington D.C., they are there to work for the people of their state.

The legislative branch is there for a reason and each member represents a portion of American citizens and they must 'all' be heard.

President Obama thinks that we must do what 'he wants' and the heck with what 'We the People' think. This is so key for me, as I believe it is 'We the people' that should be guiding our futures and not just one individual.

Why Lie?

This president had a democrat majority in the house and senate during his first two years in office, he could have passed anything his party wanted and the republicans could do nothing.

As the numbers were stacked in the Presidents column and yet, he still blames the republicans for not allowing him to do what he thought should be done.

I Repeat: The Democrats have had the majority of both houses in congress from January 3, 2007, up until January 3, 2011. The republicans have since gained control of the house but yet, the senate is still a democrat majority.

There was only one President out of President Bush and President Obama, that had to work with a majority of the opposite party and that had both the majority in the senate and the house.

That would be President Bush.

My Facts!

These are the stats under the last two years of President George Walker Bush's presidency...

110th Congress: January 3, 2007 - January 3, 2009

House: 239 democrats (including 4 delegates) and 200 republicans (including the resident commissioner).

Senate: 49 democrats and 49 Republicans and 2 Independents. The 2 independents cacused with the democrat party, giving the democrats the majority.

111th Congress: January 3, 2009 - January 3, 2011.

After this congress was sworn in January 3, 2009, our next President, President Barack Hussein Obama was sworn into office on January 20, 2009, this was the congress he was able to work with...

House: 262 Democrats (Including five delegates and the resident commissioner) and 178 Republicans.

Senate: 55 Democrats, 2 Independents and 41 Republicans. Two senate seats were vacant.

President Obama, you and two (V.P. Biden & Sec. of State Hillary Clinton) of those in your administration were then part of the 110th congress and voted yes for Tarp (which half was left for you to spend for us, after sworn in). I think you did the right thing but, to be quite honest...

If the policies of this last administration seems to have caused all the bad that you say, then do you not also have to lay blame at your feet, as well as the others that voted as you did, I would think so. I just have a issue with you saying that you was inherited this mess.

Help is Needed

I understand Mr. Romney is not suggesting that we just use the emergency room for our everyday healthcare, he was just stating that no person is just left on the streets to die, we have resources to stop this from happening, was his point.

We have clinics and we also have a state program where my brother Billy is able to go to a day school. As he is mentally challenged and also he has been diagnosed as psychotic manic depressive. Without this program, my brother would be lost. There is a waiting list for this school. The need is there.

Helping the poor, the elderly and those that are mentally/physically challenged, is important to republicans also. Mr. Romney has every intention of trying to help those that need the help, he just feels there is a better way to do it and I could not agree more with the guy.

Mr. Romney just thinks that if we put most of 'our' money back in the hands of the states (and our pocketbooks), that they/we will do a better job of spending the money, then those will in the United States Congress. I agree 100%

Stop the Political Games!

I just love when Mr. Romney says (In the interview), "Leadership is not a take it or leave it thing, we have seen too much of this in Washington." I could not agree more with this guy, on this issue. This man knows all about having to work with the 'other' side, he did prove it in Massachusetts as their Governor, he had no choice.

I am so sick and tired of partisan politics, these people are sent to those positions to do what is good for us (We the People), not for 'their' party. Compromise must be done or then, not a darn thing gets done.

I don't know about you but, I feel my party has left me and I can almost bet most of you feel the same way, no matter what political party you were registered under. The far right and the far left have over taken both parties. Neither side willing to budge and here us Americans are suffering for it.

They have the mentality of, 'we must do it for the party', no! You are there to 'work' for the betterment of us, 'We the People!'. Stop acting like kids, no you can not have all the candy, you must share!

Yep!

At this point, Mr. Romney sure has my curiosity brewing. I left this writers page and did some research. I then came back to his page, so as to hear the clip for another time. What else did I find that I liked about what Governor Romney had to say well, you will just have to wait for part II, minus the video, sorry.

My question today is: Mr. President, why do you keep up this facade, that the Republicans are standing in your way and have been from the start of your term?

Thank you Bets for your support. Thank you for the links but, I have my own course at this time I am taking. I really don't care what face is on our money, just whom is taking it and throwing it away on the likes of Solyndra (sp*?) at the tune of 500 mill down the toilet, gee thanks Mr. President. As always, thank you for stopping by.:)

I cannot watch videos because I have dial up but no way would I vote for Romney. We need a third choice. I cannot support a party whose ideas are all about have's being better than have nots.

Mark, I do not know why you say this, to lump 'all' into one group is just wrong, this man is not overly loved by the repub party and I kind of like this. You know what the democrats have had to offer my brother since Mr. Obama has been in office, no raise on his check to keep up with the cost of living (since 2009) and we had the hardest time finding him another doctor (his old one stopped taking them) that would accept his medicare part D we did but now, his co-pay is 10 dollars higher per visit....
My son (after suffering a 'awful' work accident when he was 21, now 29) finally has gotten (9 month ago) a job that pays okay and has/had benefits. Now since Obamacare, his employer has decided to opt out of this healthcare plan and pay the penalty, so there goes his benefits. He is now looking for another job to subsidize this job or just maybe one that will not opt out and he will only have to work one job. Mr. Obama signed this bill into law with this provision, we can all opt out of Obamacare (including companies) we are just 'taxed' at the end of the year if we choose to opt out. No one is saying do not help those that can not help themselves, neither man does this, they just have different ways of doing it. I sure wish you could have watched this video, this video has given me more of a overall look at Mitt Romney better than anything I have seen before. Mark, I have been a republican all my life and I do not see where they do not help, have them pissed me off, you bet they have downright pissed me off and still do at times. GWB signed into law the prescription drug plan in 2003, this one thing has lessened our financial load my brother and us were carrying. It use to cost us almost 700 bucks a month for his meds until this program helped it get down to just 9 bucks a month. When the state (med) program was stopped, this was when we got my brother on medicare part D (he worked for 20 years) his take home pay was 512 dollars and his meds cost more than what he was getting, you can see where something had to happen. Mind you, we did not even ask for help for Billy as we had him in a state run program that is (we paid for everything else), until they had to stop their prescription drug plan. It had taken 6 months to get him on medicare part D and up until then, we paid for his meds and everything else, times that by 6, yikes!
Mark, I know I will never convince you, nor the facts I will put out will sway you and actually, I am not here to sway anyone, it is 'their' vote, 'their' choice, I just want the truth to be put out there, with facts and then y'all decide. Am I pissed the far right has taken over the party, you bet! But I do not lump this man in that category, nor do I put most in that category. It is just the stupid Ron Paul's (do nothing for anyone) libertarian, to the rush limbaugh far right mindset that wants to play hardball and not work with the other side, goes both ways though. Lordy, what do I not like about what Mr. Obama has done and is doing... He takes money from large corporations, yet damns the repubs for doing so. I think money needs to get out of the races actually. Remember when Obama ran against McCain, McCain said he would go for public funding (only 97 mill each candidate) if Hillary and Obama agreed, they were both fighting over the nomination at this time, both of them agreed to this deal, that is... Until Mr. Obama clinched the nomination and he changed his mind. He was yet into office and he already started to lie (well actually more lies were told on the campaign trail), he has since lied multiple times outright and I can not wait to bring them all out. By the way, Mr. McCain stuck with his promise and we know the rest of history. Lets just say... I want to put 'all' the cards on the table and then, we will let the chips fall where they may. I respect every ones choice, as I have said before, your choice, I just want to make sure that when someone makes that choice, they have all the facts. Thank you Mark for stopping by, I appreciate it!:)

I am inclined to agree with Mark on this! We need a third party! I don't think that anyone as rich as Romney can fully understand the plight of the poor. I have been trying to be self employed on the side for my future over 30 years now, and, with very little success. It seems that Romney thinks that it is easy to be self employed. I tried selling wooden crafts, wreaths, you name it, but, when KMart and Walmart ended up selling them cheaper (made in Japan) that opportunity went out the window too. However I still won't give up on my dream to someday be self employed. Love you Denise!!!

No one's mind is EVER changed by argument or reason.... by facts or hard data. People believe what they believe and that's pretty much that. The above exchange is a testament to that reality. Anyone disagree?

David, maybe where you see argument, I see debate. We need to debate these issues and stop this, my party, your party mentality. This is 'our' country and we need to be part of the chatter, it is about time! Maybe it will be the reality that the facts will not sway a soul but all I can say is, I need to put out the truth. If I don't, I will regret it for the rest of my life. I was talking with my daughter last week and she begged me to get the truth out. David, I am not here to bring anyone down, I just hate when I hear lies being told and they are just not so. One thing you will never be able to accuse me of and that is, spewing a lie to advance anyone. Will my facts (when I put them all out) sway one person, only time will tell but, it sure beats doing nothing. As always, thank you for stopping by.:)

Judy, why can a man that has money, not understand those that don't. Does Mr. Obama the millionaire understand my problems, apparently not, if this is how I test a man's compassion for the less fortunate. Mitt Romney has not always been successful (he admits) and he has overcome this. Good for him, I do not mind that this man made his money (still does), nor Mr. Obama's money, it is just the hypocrisy of Mr. Obama of it all pisses me off. I am sure the 4 million dollars that Mr. Romney and his wife gave to charity was accepted and appreciated by those that have had the help. I too have tried to start a business, matter of fact 3 of them and not one was a success, as to make me rich but, each one has taught me one thing or another and I did actually gain from each experience. Once again, Mr. Romney is not saying that we do not need to help those that need the help, just the opposite by the way. I have just started on my truth tour, all I ask is, please read the articles, watch a clip if I have one and then (of course) make up your own mind up on whom to vote for. I wish we had a 3rd party candidate and not some looney tune, we must not do anything for anyone isolationist or the tea party fool (I think his name is) Huntsman. I want someone that 'will' work with both sides and MItt is right, he had just about a 87% dem legislature in Mass. and yet he got things done, I went and looked at his record. I am so sick of both sides thinking, it is their way or the highway. Now I just showed where Mr. Obama has been a liar and yet, people will not see. This is just one of his lies he is spewing, I have yet to hit the mother load on his lies. My information will be factual and not twisted to help this candidate, as so many others do for Mr. Obama, my country is far more important than any man. They still keep (lame street media) saying that Mr. Obama can not get things done because of the repubs, I just went ahead and proved them and Mr. Obama wrong. Never give up your dream hon, I am always looking for the next adventure to come my way. Judy I love you hon and remember, I will still love you no matter whom you vote for, I do not play that, if you don't like my man then I must hate you thing. Bless you hon. As always, thank you for stopping by.:)

Denise, I enjoyed your article and you are a patriot. To think out of 360 million people, this is the best choice we have. My twelve year old nephew coined the phrase, “Liar, liar fire pants,” several years ago along with laster night and few others, he is special. Just remember we always have room in the IDCLR Party, current membership of one that it is. Hi to Buggs!

I bet him is an absolute gem. Said hi to Bugg and gave him a hug, he loves hugs. I didn't think you would mind. Robb, I could narrow that down quite a bit. The more I learn of this guy, the more I like what he has to offer. Throughout our history I have seen men placed in that oval office, that were the ones for the job, at that time. This darn thing with Bain Capitol just makes me sick. Yes they lost some companies but, they also saved far more, what is the beef actually. Not all businesses ventures have succeeded and not all will but, that is just life. Remember this firm takes over when the company is 'already' in the toilet and ready to be flushed down. I just think that at this time, this is just the kind of person we need, a businessman. Also one that does not mind, walking softly, yet carrying a big stick. That is my take, as I have always said (even long before now) it is your vote, your choice and I respect that. I just want to put out the truth and how 'I' see it yet, backed up with facts. Maybe then, this country can get back on track. If my party of one fails, I will check into your platform, ty.LOL As always, thank you for sharing.:)

Denise, firstly its an excellent post. But one cant be emotional about any candidate. I was in States last month and my reading is that Obama is home and dry. Frankly Obama may be bad, but somehow I feel Mitt is worse. Not much of a choice in America. When will a golden leader like Ike or FDR appear?

GV, you just crack me up and in a good way I might add, your honestly is so refreshing. This article is very easy, really...
I went to a writers page (here on wikinut) and they had a clip of a interview romney did for 60 minutes, even though I knew I was not going to vote for Obama, I was still not convinced that I could muster up enough energy to vote for this former Governor Romney, that is...
Until I watched this you tube video on the other writers page, now I am no longer just a 'maybe', I will show up on voting day and cast my vote for Romney, I will not only show up but also, do my own type of campaigning for him. When I told this person that their clip on Romney was the thing that finally made me a energized voter, I was called a liar. So yes the title is a bit of a sensational title to get hits, it was me I was referring to as the 'so called' liar. Of course I did my research after watching that clip to check out if what Mr. Romney was saying was the truth and sure enough it was. CBS has 'now' blocked that 'you tube video' down, unless you go to their site, their site. So I had to take the clip out of my article, that explains all I am stating, that I agree with Romney. I do have the link (for the interview clip) at the bottom of the page.
The bottom line is, I am making Romeny's case with the facts that I have in our library of congress, like when Mr. Obama states that he can not get things done because of the republicans in congress, in this article, I point out he is a liar, as I have shown just who has been in charge of congress and his party was for the first two years (house and senate) of his term, now the other party only has the house and yet, Mr. Obama has the WH and Senate. It is just disputing the lies that have been told by facts and nothing less. Unlike our fellow wikinut writer did. I am sure if the clip was still there, it would make a lot more sense. This was my first time using 'you tube' and I thought that if it was posted there, then it was okay, apparently not. One mistake I will not make again. I really want to make this clear for you my friend, since you did comment on another page and stated that Mr. Obama has a congress that will not let him get things done, yet I have pointed out that this is just not so, The president is a liar in this case, his party had a majority in the house and senate until 2011. It was actually GWB that had to deal with a house and senate that was held by the opposing party. I am sorry my friend I have confused you. As always, it is just a pleasure to see you on my page. Love your honesty! Your friend, Denise:)

I said that I could not for a moment believe that I, Steve Kinsman, was the one who convinced you to vote for Romney. Now, come on, Denise, be honest yourself. Was I the reason you voted for Romney. Was I really? If that is in fact the case, then I take full responsibility. I am a liar.

You forget that even though the dems had majorities in both houses, the repubs could always block them, and always did, by using the 60 vote rule in the senate. You do remember how they did this all the time, dont you? Don't you?
