This article concerns the trial and verdict of Casey Anthony who was accused of murdering her 2 year old daughter in 2008.

Does not guilty means she's innocent?

The world was ultimately shocked today as reports generated worldwide of the acquittal of the charges against Casey Marie Anthony.Casey was charged of the murder of her 2 year old daughter Caylee Anthony. The mother of the child went under heavy persecution at the trial and on many occasions burst into tears. She was deemed an unfit mother as photos were bought forward portraying her as the wild party goer.

Caylee's Disappearance.

Caylee Marie Anthony disappeared from her Orlando, Florida home on June 2008. Her skeletal remains were discovered and on December 11and the remains were positively identified as Caylee Anthony's. Her death was ruled as a homicide and the cause of death listed as undetermined. Cassie Anthony did not report the child as missing and was indicted of felony murder. On skull of little Caylee duct tape was found on the facial area later at the home of Casey Anthony duct tape was also found but she maintains that she found the child drowned in the pool.

Her diary.

The 25 year old mother is no newbie to breaking the law as she was previously arrested on charges of fraud and theft. In her diary dated just June 21 it says ;-

" I have no regrets , just a bit worried. I just want everything to be okay . I completely trust in my judgement and I know I made the right decision. I just hope the end justifies the means. I just want to know what the future holds for me. I guess I will soon see. This is the happiest I have ever been in a very long time."

A shocking verdict;

In less than 2 hours deliberation by jurors Casey Anthony was acquitted on charges of
murder, aggravated child abuse and aggravated manslaughter. She was however found guilty of giving false information to a law enforcement officer.

I think everyone knows she did it, but all the evidence was circumstantial - no real hard or forensic evidence, so the jury was unable to find her guilty "beyond a reasonable doubt." Fine article. Thank you, Crystal.

I think she is guilty also Steve. Such a sweet looking girl, with such a cold cold heart...

I believe she was guilty, but agree with Steve. The prosecution didn't have enough hard evidence to prove it. Even though she was found not guilty by a jury, she has the court of public opinion against her. Her life will never be the same. Such a tragic case.... Thank you, Crystal

Excellent update on the trial and acquittal of Casey Anthony...I think most of us agree that she is guilty and that the evidence just didn't support it.
