As the newspeople waited with anticipation on the news of the royal birth, news came through that its a Boy

Even the Duke and Duchess did not know the sex of the baby

The Duchess of Cambridge today gave birth to a baby boy he will be third in line to the throne, not just of Great Britain but also the independent sovereign states of Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Jamaica, Barbados, the Bahamas, Grenada, Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, Tuvalu, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Belize, Antigua and Barbuda, and Saint Kitts and Nevis, his title will be Prince of Cambridge.

That this happy news is flashed across the world speaks volumes about the role of monarchy even in countries that were never a part of it even when Britannia ruled the waves. I remember my grand mother recalling that she was born when Queen Victoria was the queen - siva

Yes I was following the royal baby's birth also and am delighted its a boy. I thought it was going to be a girl. Its Diana Spencer's grand baby. :)

The royal baby is nearing his first birthday. Lately Prince William and son Prince George had a remarkable celebration of their first Father's Day highlighted with an edible picture of father and son made of toblerone chocolates.
