Kenyan premier league is the most competitive in the world, this is why

Kenya premier league

It is official Kenyan football season is now over. The last silverware to be won was won yesterday by AFC Leopards. The season was a bit entertaining and more money powered to make the league most lucrative in the region. Adding to the multi million deals with super sport and some other deals from different sponsors, It was well planned.
The Kenyan league is the most competitive in the world. Gor Mahia won the league with only 2 games to spare. The last two seasons has seen Tusker wining the league by a point. In most cases Kenyan league waits for the last weekend for us to know the winner. In fact into the last four matches, even different newspaper started to point to the mathematical chances of how teams like AFC Leopards and Sofapaka can win the league, this is the competitiveness of our league. This is contrary to the well known leagues in the world. Spain for instance, everyone knows the best two teams in the country. If one team Barcelona is not winning the league then Real Madrid is winning it. In England for instance, the trophy can either go with Liverpool, Manchester united, Arsenal or Chelsea and Manchester City has come to the fray
In Kenya it is hard to know the best teams. AFC Leopards and Gor MAhia which commands great following in the country, last won the league some 15 and 18 years respectively. This year show the resurgence of the two clubs which has seen them come 1st and second in the league. There is not even one club that you can call the top 4 like in the case of England. In England we have Manchester united, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool. It is hard to know the dominant teams in the league. Even the teams that were fighting off relegation like Sony sugar, was once a Kenya premier league champion in 2006. Mathare united with was almost relegated won the league in 2008.

Kenya has the most competitive league in the world: by the close of the league last week Jacob Keli had only 17 goals, the entire period yet he was the top scorers. Yet the highest team that scored highest goals was Kenya commercial bank had only 40 goals which is very low compared to other countries. Christiano Ronaldo in Real Madrid has scored 16 goals in only 13 matches. It shows by the end of the league he should have done more than 30 goals. This shows that Kenyan teams are so strong such that putting a goal in the net takes in effort. There has been many narrow wins than outright victories. The number of 1-0 wins are many than outright victories.
The only problem with the local sports is lack of investments and also lack of infrastructure. Watch this space we are heading there
