4/6/94 - Listening to TV, writing down my favorite lines spoken to create this poem.

4/6/1994

The action was mostly
Confined to shouting
From hardware to apparel to appliances
It was still another
Up and down day on wall street
1400 guns in 4 days
Society has gone completely nuts
Money in Library books
We'll show you where people are
Working a better way
Turns everything you think....
On its head
Make you feel there are songs to be sung
Day three - fresh flowers
Our ship sails south
Maybe it's something you eat
Where the quality continues
Spectacular collision in space
Jupiter in July
Like throwing a rock into a pond
4.8 on the Richter scale this time
Some rattled windows and rattled nerves
Red wine, tea, coffee, grapejuice
So effervessive, so effective
The cheesiest
A matter of survival
Skimpy meal money
Something with a bit more leg-room
The guy who sings the national anthem
By the face of it this method is a gamble
The stakes are too high
Needs is dicey

LoriAnne: Loved your poem.
Thanks for sharing. You had me at Hello with the opening line,
"The action was mostly confined to shouting.
