What happens when two guys from different cultures come together for a little comedy? Williams and Ree!

Who are they?

Continuing the celebration of Native American Heritage Month, the musical comedy duo of Williams and Ree returned for a performance at thee Bear's Den Showroom in the Seneca Niagara Resort and Casino in Niagara Falls, New York on November 15.

Idaho native Bruce Williams and South Dakota Sioux Terry Ree bill themselves the Indian and the White Guy; and their decidedly politically incorrect routine is not for anyone who is easily offended.

Calling themselves more of a Vaudeville entertainment duo than a comedy team; Williams and Ree have been together since meeting in South Dakota in 1968.

Having Fun

During the hour long performance the duo kept fans laughing uproariously as they poled fun at Russian President Vladimir Putin with the KGB and the Olympics, boxing champion Mike Tyson – who was on the Seneca Niagara Resort and Casino grounds, women with tattoos – Williams asked would you spray paint a Ferrari?, ISIS – they should be put in the room with Ebola patients, and of course, themselves – each other.

Williams and Ree poke a lot of fun at the world; but one thing they are very serious about is drugs...telling fans don't ever do drugs. While Williams admits to having tried a few in the past, Ree says that he has never done any drugs nor has he ever smoked.

While the duo did not poke fun at the gay community, the community did play a big role in the night's fun including talking about how Washington state got things right by passing gay marriage and marijuana laws. Noting that it says in the Book of Leviticus: if a man lies with another man, he should be stoned (and they weren't talking about rocks).

Reminiscing about old television variety shows – even during the Cold War they always had the dancing Russian bear – and music Ree impersonated Ed Sullivan, Elvis Presley, Wayne Newton, and Englebert Humperdink.

The Big Finish

And when the guys talked about the music – folk and rock – fans joined right in for short clips of “Walk Right In”, “Tom Dooley” and “Mellow Yellow”.

“Indian” Ree even gave his take on the Washington Redskins debate; noting that he is not a Redskin but a man with a good tan – and white people aren't white, they're pink -; Ree said that he wouldn't change the name Redskins – he would change the name Washington.

All during the show, the guys expounded on how happy they were to be at the Bear's Den, how much they loved the place, and wanting to come back. Williams noted it would be soon; saying that he had overheard a conversation in the hall of how it would be a cold day when they returned – Williams figures it will be in January.

Noting the approaching holiday season, Williams and Ree remarked on how many “holiday shows” were merely the normal show with a couple of holiday songs thrown in. The duo announced that this was their first “holiday show” and ended the night with a “commercial” for their CDs and DVDs and a rendition of “Blue Christmas”.

Williams and Ree met with fans after the show to pose for photographs and sign autographs.
