Obama never fails to do a few rounds of Golf. Crisis or not, it's golf for the president.

Happy Birthday Mr Golf oops Mr President

Benghazi, Birthday or Bull; it's always Golf for Obama. Golf is the new fiddle for Nero, the Roman Emperor who apparently played the fiddle while Rome burned. As Obama behaves pretty much like a king, he rather play Golf than the fiddle, just to be a little innovative, I suppose. Much like an emperor, Obama makes up laws, passes them, enjoys them. What does he care about going through Congress? Obama has learned the arts of side-stepping, bypassing and curving the ball.

Crisis or not; it's Golf

When Benghazi was burning, Obama went and did a few rounds of campaigning before he went for Golf. No wonder, there was so much confusion about where the President was; his staff didn't know which golf club Obama was at! Mr. Obama delivered a six-minute statement to reporters about violence that left hundreds dead in Cairo, Egypt before headed off for another round of golf in Martha’s Vineyard, his usual summer vacation spot. According to Judicial Watch: President Obama’s trips to the golfing playgrounds of Palm Springs and Key Largo cost taxpayers nearly $3 million for flight expenses alone. according to Air Force records. Mr. Obama combined his trip to Palm Springs with an event to highlight California’s severe drought and spent the rest of the weekend golfing on exclusive courses in the desert that use about 1 million gallons of water per day to keep them green! During March, Obama spent Spring Break at the exclusive Ocean Reef Club where members must have a minimum net worth of $35 million to join.

Nero Played Fiddle; Obama Played Golf

While the country is not literally burning like Rome did when it was rumored that its emperor Nero played the fiddle; Obama certainly displays the same callousness and distance from the country’s domestic and foreign troubles. Understandable that today is the president's birthday but what about it? Playing rounds of Golf with his buddies, while the country is still reeling under high unemployment and remains 17 trillion in debt, certainly doesn’t shine a kind light on Obama. Maybe Obama made a difference on his birthday by playing more Golf than he normally did! After all, it's the Obama way; when things get tough, get out, do some campaigning, give a few speeches, do some fundraisers and of course Golf. Happy Birthday Mr President! May you enjoy many rounds of Golf; thanks to American taxpayers!

Great piece, Joyce. Yep, most of us get over the fact that we have birthdays once a year around the time we're 10. Obama had to remind the press at least 3 times to "wish him happy b'day." I'm sure the little guy had no issues blowing out all his candles.

Thanks Susan. Indeed, most of us have grown up and gone on to do some work. Not this guy, who's stuck around feeding off others' hard earned cash.

Great analogy. However, for another slant on the subject, the country is better off with him on the golf course. We would have been even better off if he had stayed there the last six and a half years.

Right on, Jaye! Or better yet, we would certainly be on the road to recovery if Mitt were taking care of business for us. I get sick just thinking that this baffoon is our president.

Lol. I'm glad we keep our humor alive and kicking :)
I think between the three of us, we won't mind sharing some good old socialist style sharing of good will. Any compliments for JayeByrd, I will automatically assume for me as well. Hope jays won't mind.

Great article and so true! The only thing that makes me feel good about him golfing is that he is not lying to the American public, signing harmful executive orders, or blaming Republicans for the countries woes while on the golf course.

History will judge Obama differently. He is the first President who went against the war culture that ruined the US economy. Golfing cannot be equated with a fiddle.

The play is on the word 'play'; playing golf, playing the fiddle, not the activity as such :)
Thanks Madan G.
