Abused and raped for the sake of "development" as the man called itself, mother nature takes deep breaths making the earth shatter. The 'Human-caused global warming" is a best term to describe it as man should be held responsible directly or indirectly for this mass scale global catastrophe.

Abuse for the sake of development

Her struggle is now to survive, not to retain her fading beauty. She wales as her blue lace cover which protects her from the powerful rays of the sun has burnt her skin. Listen Mother Nature who loves her children and gives the best for them, is now pleading for justice not from any one, but from her own children, you and I, who are squeezing her neck!. She is more often than not being abused and raped for the sake of so called 'development', man-made fantasies of sheer exploiting her resources only for the survival of the man. Whatever the development as it sounds very sweet, she gains nothing but only havoc gains supremacy. Unmoved by mass scale destruction by the man, only animal inimical to her on the Mother Earth, she takes deep breaths making the earth shatter now. She has nothing to do with these atrocities of the man but when people hurt her, she shake the world, with floods, earth tremors, and avalanche of natural disasters like Tsunami, which we, Sri Lankans have also experienced its terrible toll in the recent past. She punishes us bringing the most unforgettable changes in her environment.

Disasters in recent history

Starting from the Tsunamis to Hurricane Katrina to Myanmar to China, recording the world's worst ever disasters in the recent history, is the clear testament of her warning to us about impending disasters very soon. Does she influence her children to take speedy action to repair the damage and keep a tab on future disasters? The most frightening threat before her children is Global Warming that steadily destroy the environment. It has become the main culprits for many natural disasters triggered by humans. For centuries, the heat trapping gasses in the environment have kept the balance in the atmosphere. They absorbed these gases carefully to maintain the required warmth that support life on earth. With the unceasing craving for more comforts of this modern world, humans have started releasing these gases into the atmosphere. Millions of trees have been brutally axed reducing the forest cover, the fine natural heat absorbents of Mother Nature.

Spate of disasters

The scientists have warned that the world in future would face more devastating consequences unless all the countries get together to put a durable solution on green house gasses emitting from fuel burning power generation, transportation and over logging of forest cover and other grave crimes against Mother Nature. Do you pause to think that global warming as a natural disaster? The stock reply is "No" because this has resulted in "human-caused global warming". The trail of serious natural disasters from increased flooding to earth slips to tremors to the spread of deadly diseases to losses in agricultural production in many parts of the world cannot be overlooked. With the grave forebodings of impending disasters in the eyes of all inhabitants on the Mother Earth, Scientists are blowing warning sirens while the world is getting hotter and hotter. Yes, minutes are fast ticking by, taking us closer to more disasters predicted by them!

Don't take this lightly

Climate change and its drastic consequences on Mother Nature is a 'popular' topic that has got international attention. But problem is who can really stop it?

Cooling heaven

The answer lies in the hands of world political leaders, world business giants and also scientists. Think yourself what you can do to make Mother Nature a cooling heaven to all. You can do a lot.

Don't delay act fast

Your little effort can make a ray of hopes to all. Your little efforts step by step carefully taken will make a change in this world. Save this world and make it a better place for you and for me. Act fast. Do not delay!

Great, timely article P. D. I think Mother Earth will survice, by putting out her 'antibodies' to repair herself from man's defilement of Her. If a few billion people stand in the way of that and are destroyed as a result, Mother Earth will heal herself and whatever the fate of humanity will be the fate humanity has brought upon itself. Great star page.
