Prince Andrew scandal, 'Shebola' nurse critical, ship off Scotland sinks - is Scotland jinxed?

It's enough to make me superstitious. As it happens, I am very much a student of the supernatural and seemingly so already.

But the events unfolding between yesterday and today, beginning with the news of child-sex-slave allegations against Prince Andrew and leading to the news of a ship sinking off northern Scotland (so far; there's still a few hours to go before this twin-day period ends) is simply spell-binding?

It has me wondering if Scotland is jinxed.

Fractals, fictions, facts and folly

It's enough to make me superstitious. As it happens, I am very much a student of the supernatural and therefore by some people's estimation may be deemed woefully superstitious already.

Still, I can't recall ever having encountered a calamitous coincidental sequence of events like the Scottish stigmata unfolding between yesterday and today - beginning with the news of child-sex-slave allegations against Prince Andrew and now cresting with news of a ship sinking off that country's northern coast.

I find the appearance of these chronological contusions on the Scottish body politic (and there's still a few hours to go before this twin-day period ends) simply spell-binding?

It has me wondering if Scotland is jinxed.

I note that the embattled Prince Andrew was named for Saint Andrew, Scotland's patron saint. And that his reputation for womanizing, like his former friend Jeffrey Epstein's, suggests that he is anything but saintly.

I note too the humbling portrayal of Scotland just yesterday, a short time before the news of the sex-slave allegations against the Duke of York broke, in the BBC Radio 4 Afternoon Play, "Inventing Scotland".

And the combination, even confusion, of liberality and profligacy in the portrayal of Prince Andrew's ancestor George IV, both in that radio play and in other more sober historical records is strikingly prophetic - especially when parallels between then Prince George's friend Charles James Fox, a Whig leader who imitated American republican military dress, and the eccentric Epstein is considered.

Of course, all this republican, referendum and related Scottish and American political phenomena are prominent in my thoughts at this time, as I contemplate the passing of the American-evangelical-community aligned Barbadian Pentecostal preacher (or should that be potentate), Reverend Holmes Williams.

I have been "consciously coupling" Rev Williams, a product of Barbados' rural east coast's Scotland District, with his curiously configured Scottish namesake Rev William Holmes McGuffey, for a number of days now.

And before that I had been coupling "bonnie Prince George" the issue of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, with the "blighted prisoner George Stinney", of anonymous Afro-American parentage.

In this manner I have been contemplating the fractal-like, phenotype transcending distribution of shame and glory.

Maybe that's why Alan Dershowitz's strenuous, counter-litigation threatening refutation of allegations that he was involved in the sexual abuse of underage girls seems desperate and extreme to me.

Tonally, it does not fit the fractal pattern of his pornography-is-harmless, liberal, "chilled out" philosophy.

I have been exploring how the truth obscured by time, with time is also revealed.

How CIA, MI5, Vatican Bank and other politically motivated and religiously accommodated machinations and 'movementations' may amount to failing-father-like, Presbyterian, Methodist, Anglican, Pentecostal, Seventh Day Adventist, Satanist and other "ist" and "ism" futility.

How plea bargains that violate victims' human rights may be revealed for the Roman- -Catholic-indulgence-system like excesses that they are, existentially.

How legalistic and literalistic evasions of truth are not only of limited social utility but can be downright diabolical, squarely!

How the "written thing" will only ever fool temporarily.

How the spirit's truth, the inner principle, will always ultimately be revealed.

How though the letter killeth, the spirit of truth will always set us free.

And still, the sequence of the Scottish referendum, the Glasgow helicopter crash, the Bin Ladin-like "attack" of a bin lorry, the "Shebola" deterioration of Scottish nurse Pauline Cafferkey and the news, most recently of a ship sinking off Scotland's northern coast makes me go, "Blimey!"

But I am mindful that I am merely a superstitious simpleton, so am ever careful not to tell others what to believe.

I merely urge the atheist and believer alike to think critically.

This jackass doesn't challenge lions lightly.

Those who trust in fallible religious clerics or politically potent governmental, departments, horses, chariots, treasuries or uzis will have their reward, verily, verily.

I trust in the living God who preserves both the Parkinsons-plagued impotent and the mighty.
