“I would not compromise my principles for politics. You’re saying, will it become politically unpopular to have the position I’m having? If it does, so be it. I don’t compromise my principles for politics.” - Chris Christie

Same - Sex Marriage

SHUSHANNAH WALSHE reports for ABC OTUS News: The explosive issue of homosexual marriage is undermining the cohesiveness of the Republican Party. Prominent members of the GOP have unabashedly thrown their support in favor of the gay marriage movement. Obviously these characters will sign a pact with Satan if it means gaining public support and possible reelection. Among some notables behind this effort were Dick Cheney's daughter and four former governors who had the balls to sign a legal document before the Supreme Court pressing for the legalization of gay marriage. This information was leaked to ABC News by one of the signers of the brief that was submitted to the United States Supreme Court. It is inconceivable that Congress could not broker a deal to avert sequester, but some members of both parties had time to support a cause that will have a negligible effect upon the economy. The document that has been submitted is to bolster a lawsuit aiming to strike down Proposition 8, the California ballot initiative that passed in 2008 banning same sex marriages.

Undercuts The Republican Platform

The House Speaker John Boehner, as well as the platform, are staunchly against same sex marriage. The American Foundation for Equal Rights (AFER), the organization who launched the California lawsuit challenging Prop 8, dropped a few names of backers and among them were Cheney's daughter Mary Cheney. What is the current legal definition of marriage? Based upon the current legal definition of the land, everyone is afforded equal rights within the parameters of the law. So, technically it is really not an equal rights issue. However, if one wishes to pervert the meaning of marriage, then that is another discussion entirely. Some prominent supporters of same sex marriage who have not signed the brief include former vice president Dick Cheney, former first lady Laura Bush, and former Secretary of State Colin Powell. Now keep in mind, one of the previously mentioned dignitaries is the father of a gay daughter. What does that really say about his commitment to advancing the gay agenda? Or, could it be that this lifestyle conflicts with his core values and he does not want his name attached to such a brief?
