Live your life. Date, but stop making your ever changing social media relationships status public. Please and thank you from all of your social media friends and followers.

Yes, I Said It

Social media... A place where some people choose to put their entire lives on display. Yes, your selfie looks nice and your pet is entertaining, but the constant flip-flopping of your relationship status from single to in a relationship is not very flattering. It’s one thing to go from single to engaged (aww, that’s sweet), single to married (do you; you won), or even engaged to married (congratulations). But, the perpetual public updates of single then in a relationship, to single then in a relationship, etc, etc makes me question many things about you dear friend.

Save Yourself the Embarrassment Hun

“Unstable” is a word that comes to mind when thinking about a person (particularly age 35+) that is on the public relationship status merry-go-round. “Volatile” is another word that comes to mind. Your actions are sending your social media friends/followers a message that you are inclined to make poor decisions. One day your love interest is listed as , “bae”, “boo”, “wifey”, “hubby”, “this is it”, “team us”, and the next day “all men are dogs” or “these chicks ain’t loyal”. Stop it! I’m embarrassed for you. Surely there are good, single women and men out here, yet you are not connecting with the right one. Assess your pattern.

Discernment

There’s nothing wrong with having friends or acquaintances of the opposite sex that you hang out with, however if you are going hard in the paint with every encounter; something is wrong with that. It shows that you have no discernment at all. Keep in mind that your social media friends/followers may want to hook you up with a great potential, but they’re well aware of your track record thus opt to spare their referral. People are looking at you and may be writing you off, crossing your name off the list, due to your publically displayed relationship pattern on social media. Granted, it’s your life; live it. Date. But, please do yourself a favor… Stop making your ever-changing social media relationships status public.

If I'm on the social network it's because of my articles. They're good to get readers and views, but as far as I'm concerned, I'm still one to go out and about to meet people and possibly a soul mate. Good article I'd say!
