Tea Party Republican Credits Obama for Bringing On the Apocalypse

According to Michele Bachmann, Barack Obama needs to be credited with hastening the end times.

The timeless wisdom of Michele Bachmann

Michele Bachmann, Republican from Minnesota, recently retired from Congress, much to the chagrin of comedians and talk show hosts everywhere, who were fond of quoting her comments without comments. They would just repeat them and let them stand on their own.

Here's a few of here most memorable:

"If we took away the minimum wage - if conceivably it was gone - we could potentially wipe out unemployment completely because we would be able to offer jobs at whatever level."

"I wish the American media would take a look at the views of the people in Congress and find out: Are they pro-America or anti-America?"
(McCarthyism redux anyone?)

"But we know that the very founders that wrote those documents worked tirelessly until slavery was no more in the United States....I think it is high time that we recognize the contribution of our forbears who worked tirelessly - men like John Quincy Adams, who would not rest until slavery was abolished in this country."
Hmmm. John Quincy Adams was not a Founding Father. And he was long dead when slavery was abolished. And none of the Founding Fathers worked to end slavery. Many, like Thomas Jefferson, owned slaves as well.

"I find it interesting that it was back in the 1970s that the swine flu broke out under another, then under another Democrat president, Jimmy Carter. I'm not blaming this on Barack Obama. I just think it's an interesting coincidence." Earth to Michele. Earth to Michele. The 1976 swine flu outbreak happened when Republican Gerald Ford was president, not Jimmy Carter.

Thank you Barack

On Saturday, April 18, 2015, Michele Bachmann appeared on Jan Markell's radio show "Understanding the Times." As usual, she was highly critical of Barack Obama, but she also expressed gratitude to him for, in her words, bringing us to the end times.

"We need to cry out to a Holy God," she said. "This is coming faster than anyone can see.... Barack Obama is intent, it is his number one goal, to ensure that Iran has a nuclear weapon. Why? Why would you put the nuclear weapon in the hands of madmen who are Islamic radicals?"

Dear reader, don't you just know that Barack Obama sits in the White House and thinks to himself "I need to ensure that Iran gets a nuclear weapon"?

Despite her criticism, Ms. Bachmann went on to express her gratitude to the president: "We get to be living in the most exciting time in history. Jesus Christ is coming back. We, in our lifetimes potentially, could see Jesus Christ returning to Earth, the Rapture of the Church. These are wonderful times."

Thank you Barack.

Jesus (if he did exist) did not write the Bible. This is simply too funny.

I think it says something about the American voter when we elect such people to high office, and what it says is not very good.

They simply reflect the collective intelligence of the electorate. People tend to get the leaders they deserve.

It seems that the US has a talent for throwing up these oddballs from time to time. Dan Quayle - Ronald Reagan - Dubya - the list goes on and they don't seem to be getting any less weird!

There have been those in every generation who expected Jesus to return in their lifetime. Even in Biblical times times, it was probably Paul's reason for encouraging young men not to marry lol! I can think of at least one such politician in Canada now! Blessings.
