Truth be told. Whether you like it or not, America is not a democracy; period. To the American citizens, it is an autocracy. To the rest of the world, with its military bases all over, it is a junta. To the state of the entire human race, with America striking countries that oppose its oppresive rule with no shred or trace of decency just to protect it's own interests; America is a dictator.

American Politics

Putting a Democratic or Republican president in the White House, really doesn't change a thing. He's part and parcel of the same 1% ruling elite belonging to one club pursuing the same policies to govern the 99% not for the benefit and the well being of the majority of Americans let alone the rest of the world, but themselves and their cronies elsewhere.

Instead of representing the electorate and their constituencies, they bow down to pressure and the influences of money and represent the corporate interests and do the bidding of the corporate world symbolized by the Wall Street. The senate or the congress is therefore reduced to nothing but a circus of puppets or yo-yos dancing on strings pulled by puppet masters in another club house filled with capitalism and its avarice.

Democracy

It is a government of the people by the people and for the people. Don't mind the structuring; it'd be wrong. If the meaning's wrong too, don't blame the smart student; blame the Civics teachers and Political Philosophy professors who drilled and grilled him. Democracy is therefore a system of government where through the ballot people assume power with the mandate of the majority of the people and govern the people with the interests of the people at heart. Is that what's happening in America?

In a democracy, if you're wise enough, truthful enough and trustworthy enough; even if you're poor, you can be given the responsibility to rule. Isn't The Congress a house of congregation for millionaires and billionaires only? Is any poor somebody in there who can sympathize and empathize with the poor instead of ripping them off and denying them of any meaningul rights to improve the human condition? Thought just as much!

In a democracy, doing as you please and not as you promised and what's expected of you, you don't last. Your term seems to have come to an end fast and wanna stay on but the very same people who put you in power, by the same cast of a ballot and not through the barrel of a gun, elect somebody else and you respect their will and not your own or somebody else's.

If America is a democracy, where do the banks and lobby groups like the Israel lobby come from? And why does America push for regime changes even in democratic states with democratically elected leaders like Iran?

Come to think about it, didn't Bush Junior rule with a court decision because the vote count was too close to call? Can you imagine what'd have happened if that was elsewhere and Bush wasn't America's preferred candidate? Wouldn't America ship in weapons for the opposition and put the government on sanctions to bring down the regime? Remember Palestine and what happened to Gaza after the Palestinians democratically voted for Hamas? Is that what you call democracy?

Lobbying is Corrupting

Truth, justice and all ethical human values need no lobbying. Those who do lobby can only be a corrupting force on a justification mission of their evil. Hasn't the world witnessed enough of the effects of Zionism? It is therefore such a powerful, corrupt group that has taken over the American Government.

America's virtually ruled by Israel. Its laws and foreign policies are formulated in Tel Aviv hence the American government puts Israel first. Americans are second class citizens in their own country. Israel that didn't directly cast the vote has priority over Americans who put them in Congress. The congress therefore respects an Israel prime minister more than its own president. Remember how Obama was imbarassingly treated to please Netanyahu? Could that happen in a democracy?

Charity Begins At Home

While the education and health systems are in shambles just like any other due to the economic strain and self inflicted pain to systematically drain it, and as a result many more Americans are jobless and homeless, American government still finds it fit and right and gives its Chinese borrowed billions of dollars to Israel to bolster its military and those of other dictators who uphold its oppressive, inhumane and war mongering principles.

Whoever believes that charity begins at home and questions the prudence of such financial policies and wars that drain the American economy leaving ordinary Americans with nothing and condemning them to the streets, is frowned upon and labeled as an extremist who should be barred from meaningful political debates. Like Da Brat said, "If you don't know, you better ask somebody, baby." Ron Paul might say something. Is that democracy?

Politics And Lies

Today, it's almost a norm that a politician got to have balls to swing the polls in one's favor with a twist of truth with every swirl of the tongue. Wasn't a tongue meant to be sweet in a kiss? Haven't such lies spilled into families? Don't we have broken homes and our moral values are in total decay? Isn't the state supposed to be the highest ethical institution? Shouldn't humanity hiss a word about this instead of letting it continue?

Going for an election and looking for a truthful politician who'd articulate, represent and safeguard your interests would therefore be as frustrating as trying to find a young man who doesn't have an erection to guard and take good care of your beautiful daughters. There's none. Whoever it is, that you find, will certainly take good care of them.

Politicians dwell, duel and excel in lies. Looking for an honest politician can therefore be more frustrating than looking for a bird that doesn't fly because the biggest of them all, the ostrich; doesn't.

At the end of any political campaign, the biggest liar of them all who has surrounded himself with equally good liars; sounding more plausible than any of the possible rivals, assumes the biggest and highest political office in the land and becomes the state president. Do you remember the "Yes We Can!" and "Change We Can Believe In!" slogans? What happened?

Looking for an honest politician to be president is therefore as frustrating as looking for a good lawyer who isn't a liar because the best and most successful in the eyes of the people in contrast to those of the law, are those that without fail have told the best of lies in court and set criminals free and sent the innocent either to jail or condemned them to the gallows and are now in the grave. Surprisingly, didn't we rave about him? Didn't humanity say he had learnt the ropes and pinned all its hopes on him?

What has happened since an eloquent lawyer became president? Well, haven't you seen the rise of arbitrary arrests of the innocent, peaceful "Occupy protestors" exercising their freedom of expression and association while the criminals are free and getting richer and richer everyday?

Haven't you seen the escalation of the drone attacks on the innocent and defenseless human beings of Afghanistan, Pakistan and Somalia while the real terrorists are in the midst of America and its allies? Is that what you call democracy when there's no respect for international laws and the sacredness of human life?

If that's too critical of one man and rather cynical, then trying to get a truthful president out of a sea of liars is as frustrating as getting into any water looking for a fish that doesn't swim because even the biggest of them all, the whale does. And in the process negates the claim that swimming makes one slim!

Change's therefore more of a matter of one's nature than anything else. Human experience has shown that the bigger the body, the bigger the position you're dying and vying for, the bigger the lie you tell to get in and remain in that office. It is therefore a blatant lie to say voting in itself is a sign of democracy when people get nothing in return except misery.

Voting In America

The act of casting the ballot for one rich man over the other who are both in it for more money, isn't democracy just like sleeping with a harlot who does it for money. Though you both consent and may enjoy doing it, that's casual sex. You seriously can't call it making love. Love brings dignity to both. Democracy is for the love of the people and doing not what strips them of it, but what gives them more dignity.

Is that what the wars are all about, giving people dignity? Do people approve of these wars? Does humanity really benefit from these wars? Are they not a tool to strengthen their dictatorial grip on power to break any resistance and rake in more profits while humanity is seized by feats and lies as a total wreck on political shores and shows hyped with untold defeats? Isn't that clear that war is not a game? They can defeat and kill a human being but can they defeat a human spirit?

"When dictatorship is a stinking fact, the people can no longer just pinch their noses in silence but make noises and act."- D in The Darling's lyrics (War Is Not a Game). What we want is; if there’s any smell at all then it shouldn’t be that of rotten human bodies but the smell of love in the air.

It may take time but the world will never be the same again. Good will eventually triumph over evil and humanity will have the last laugh. Humanity is no longer divided by petty issues of race and religion. We're all united to bring about a just world overflowing with real peace. Good Americans have realized and joined the globe revolution and are ready to overhaul their political system. Wouldn't you agree that the world will only be a better place if it's allowed to see the day America becomes a democracy?

I agree with you on so much and yet not all but, great piece. I hear all the time that most people are in the middle of each extreme side of the political field. Yet, we either side with one or the other. I wish we could get a person in there that was neither far right or left. One that sees what most folks are dealing with and works for them, 'we the people'. Term limits for those in Congress would help a lot, this will give the rich folks in CONgress less time to screw us, as they get rich. This could only make it one less business these rich folks would want to invest their time with. I hear ya more than I don't my friend. Nice one. Congrats on the star page, it is well deserved. Great seeing you in my inbox. As always, thank you for sharing.:)

Thanks Sheila,
We really don't have to pick up weapons in order for people to hear us out. We got do is make noise and they'll hear it even if they might not do something about it.

Peace is all we got strive for and not wars and shedding of human blood.

Okay, here I (reluctantly) go. I'll probably be shot down for this by some. Straight to the point. The spirit world is in control of human society and specifically of governments, such as the United States. The policies of the US government is evidence of this. American politicians talk like puppets, as if rehearsed, simply because they are not in control of their own minds. They are being orchestrated by unseen powers and the money elitists are in the driving seat of this spiritual train with its cargo of deceit and entrapment for offloading to the electorate.. The American ship is rudderless by design of these dark forces and it all forms part of the greater picture as outlined in the book of Revelation. Right now God has His finger on the safety mechanism of this self-destruct weapon aimed at the American people - waiting for them turn from this delusion and to stand up against it. It is time for the American people to throw the Bible at their Satan-inspired leaders and demand reinstatement of the Word of God in American society. There is no other reason for the present plight of this nation. But it seems that all those money-hungry TBN preachers and the thousands of church leaders in America are either too gutless or simply just too protective of their comfort zone to want to make a difference.

Jack,
Thanks a million for such a brilliant comment. You're one person that got eyes that see and ears that can hear what's being said. It's a duty to us all to encourage what's right and discourage what's wrong. God is our only way forward!

Hi Buzz,
Thanks for the advice. The thing is, being neutral or abstaining from taking sides and cast your vote won't change a thing. That's what we have been doing all along waiting for America and Russia to flex their muscles and take their decisions as Gospel truth.

We need to take sides. I'm voting for truth and justice. We don't need any weapons to say what's true. Weapons are for those who are on the side of evil coz weapons are evil that's why they kill.

We're held in bondage by politics and lies and only truth will set us free.

God bless Buzz and all good and peace loving people of this world.

I don't live in the United States either. I just love America and it breaks my heart to see the American dream being shattered by some anti American politicians posing to be doing the right thing for America when they know they're doing the opposite and are actually unpatriotic!

Part two coming soon!

Thanks D, what a coincidence my article on functioning of democratic systems is waiting to see the light of today - posted an hour ago. Sadly, even in liberal democracies the common folks lack voice - their rights are usurped by the few powerful. If it happens in America, then what the future holds for others, I dread to think! siva

Hi Kaylar,
I'm so disappointed to see you walking out on me instead of hearing me out and respond with your own arguments.Isn't that what maturity and democracy all about? Are you gonna do as America and its allies do at the UN Assembly when somebody they don't like, like Ahmadinejad talks; only to come back and talk of things that don't make sense to humanity at all?

Kaylar,If I'm anti Israel, what are you? Anti Palestinian or anti Iran? Tell me. We've had enough of that. Don't call others names before you tell them yours. Is it right then for you to kill my child but wrong for me to kill yours? Why can't we just agree that killing is wrong and nobody kills anybody? Why should Israel be allowed to have nuclear weapons in the Middle East and no one else should? In the name of God, is that what you call justice? Please!

If it pains Israel to see other people say this, then it's time to change. This has to stop! This world doesn't belong to America and it's allies only. It's for all of us and we need to be free and live in peace with each other.

I am so inspired to hear so much truth and strength put forward by D in The Darling. He has stated clearly and honestly the situation we are in today. I support him 100% alongside Jack's comment that we must demand reinstatement of "the Word of God" in our society. We are being led to the edge of the abyss by Satan-inspired leaders. God help us but we must stand up together and ask for His help in displacing our corrupt leaders.

Indeed worth a second look and comment, D. I have highlighted that arms lobby dictates politics. What is so difficult to arm ourselves with peace initiatives? We have enough good minds and common sense, with historical lessons to back us, to knock into hard-shelled few that the common person yearns for just peace! War is for the egotistical few, who want to lord over others and live their lives with zilch conscience - siva

Whew! What a rant against democracy in the USA. First, democracy may not be the best form of government, but you can't show me a suitable alternative. Second, you have made so many sweeping statements indicting your country, it will take a long article to give a rebuttal. However, you're perhaps the first American to denounce your system, and you deserve all the praise for your guts.
