After years of putting on a show, literally at Fox, the great Beck gets booted.

Glenn Beck Will Exit Fox This Year.

In the end it appears it all comes down to numbers at Fox. After the Glenn Beck show lost many, many sponsors and reportedly millions of viewers, those in charge at Fox, especially Roger Ailes, who may have the last word, are cutting their ties with Glenn Beck. Mr. Beck has been terminated at Fox and will reportedly leave sometime this year.

In the background, Media Matters, a news watchdog group headed by David Brock, waged a campaign to have Mr. Beck removed from Fox based on his continuous unsubstanitated assertions which Fox allowed to stand. Mr. Brock and his followers kept up the pressure and accomplished their goal with the help of Glenn Beck himself, according to reports.

Mr. Beck told untruths seemingly for no reason such as visiting the Archives in Washington, D. C. and holding certain documents in his very hand. This was discredited by the Curator of the Archives who reportedly said Mr. Beck would never have been allowed to hold any of the documents housed there in his hand. An unnecessary assertion by Mr. Beck. Who would care if he held any document such as the Constitution in his hand, Would that make him special?

His trademark blackboard will be retired. Of course Mr. Beck will find another venue, he still has his radio show. He will still earn millions. It has been reported that he will more than likely be on a syndicated television station somewhere. He still enjoys thousands of followers, but his platform of being on a major television news station such as Fox will no longer give him access to such a huge television audience. So long Glenn Beck, the great teller of tales, may your landing be somewhere remote.

I liked the tongue-in-cheek satirical bent to this article.
