The Non relenting Efforts Of Internet Spammers And Scammers Should Be Taken Very Seriously

The internet scammers have existed almost in the same period of time as the existence of the internet itself and over the years, despite the very rampant and gross awareness campaign around the world, they have been evolving and accumulating an immense number of victims. Unfortunately, once in a while we experience such individuals here in wikinut and there is one who is currently in a mission

World Statistics

About 15 billion messages in a day internationally are regarded as spams and these account for almost 48% of all messages sent across the internet globally. A whooping 38% of this figure (i.e about 5.7 billion) are said to be from internet fraudsters and financial crimes manipulators.

Since 2006 till date, a huge sum of about $3.5 billion has been gained by these spammers, noting the biggest blow and the highest earning fraud via the internet in 2006, as America alone had a loss of $183 million. Even with this loss, the same America recorded another loss the next year of about $70 million.

The regions recording the highest amount of losses to internet mail scam are: America, the UK, South Africa, Russia, The Arab World, India, Pakistan, The Netherlands, Ghana, Nigeria, Togo and Australia.

How They Operate

Who are they?
The master minds are usually Nigerians! But it will be a devastating error if one thinks these scammers and fraudsters are just Nigerians. Their large frame work of networking is simply unbelievable and this is arguably the secret to their successes. In most of the reports and statistics given by bodies responsible for tracking such crimes such as the crime complaint center, the FBI, National white collar crime center and the Internet auction fraud, it is discovered that these core-criminals may just be one person at the realm of events (The main person responsible for luring and convincing the victim), but there are plenty other back room boys who may work in banks, in Carrier services, some merchandises or huge corporate organizations. With such networking in place, the victim is trapped to falsely confirm all the lies told to him/her be it through phone calls or even live visitations.

Their networks are said to be largest in America, South Africa and the Netherlands with a whole lot of other non-Nigerian criminals actively participating in this fraud. So how do they operate?

You get a message in your inbox or spam which comes with an attached photo of a very beautiful young African girl (most of the time) and you read stories of her background, usually from a very rich or wealthy or royal family background, which unfortunately, her family was wiped out in a war, but left behind million of dollars. They can even go as far as sharing a false link with you to confirm the story. After reading the story which immediately captures both your humane quality of pity and inhumane qualities of greed and lust, you are faced with a temptation of taking the conversation further. If you do so, you are on your way to bankruptcy!

Other of such e-mails could be: You have won some lottery, you never registered for in the first place and you are required to give details about yourself and your personal information. In this particular type, you may be asked to pay some money for the Carrier services of your just-won item sent to you. We can go on and on over this issue, they are just numerous

The Scamming Evolution Over Time

With the advent of social networking and other free website directories such as the article directories, bookmarking sites, internet forums etc, the scammers as well moved the same step further. You find them opening facebook accounts and sending such messages to lots of individuals they come across.

Some may even be more sophisticated by not sending messages at all! They just open an account, upload the pictures of a very beautiful girl. Let's say he is Nigerian, he can search for the profile of a girl in Cuba or Costa Rica and upload there. Then hungry Lions who cannot resist the site of a beautiful young lady will come begging for friends' requests and more. When this happens, the beginning of their own fate is assured.

Most victims of this particular situation are those in the Arab world. They easily fall victims, time and time again. In most cases, the fraudster can network with an actual beautiful girl if his scheme seems to be getting effective... The girl can just chat with the so-called victim (to confirm her as a lady through the voice) for some money, and if desperate, the victim would be charged before getting to experience some video chat or internet sex.

Unfortunately, this evolution has caught up time and time again (though, not too frequently) with wikinut and we have one who is currently a pain in the ass!

The Scammer On Wikinut

This morning, I logged onto my account to discover 86 messages of which only 3 were genuine. As I clicked on each of the messages to read, I get only but one and the same result in all of them. They were all coming from a new account which joined wikinut on the 22nd of March (Today) by the name AMINA. Here is what the message reads:

"Assalamu Alaikum.Contact true this email amina_abudu@yahoo.com

Dear Thank you for your fast respond to my email I am Mrs amina abudu from London United Kingdom I am married to Late Mr Abdul abudu of blessed memory who was a well known Gold dealer from Kuwait to London for through out his life before he died in the year 2010. We where married for 11 years without a child.

Before his sudden death we where devoted Muslims When my late husband was alive he deposited the sum of 1.Million Eight Hundred Pounds (£ 1.800.000.00 GBP) in a fix deposit account with one of the banks there in London using my name as the beneficiary since we could not bear a child,

Presently this money is still with the bank in United Kingdom and i am very sick from cancer of the lug despite the fibroid and tumour which denied me a child when my husband was alive as a result i may not last till the next two months according to my doctor report so i want to donate to a Muslims organisation or individual who will use it to work for Allah and i have chose you after making several praying consultations.

I want this money to be sheared among the next privileged since i do not have a child to inherit it and my late husband relatives are all Non-believers and i don't want my husbands heard earn money to be used by unbelievers since I am sure that they will not utilize the money in the way I have directed to.

Hence the reason for taking this bold decision. I know that after death I will be with Allah the most holy and the most merciful.

It is a very important confidential massage that i will like to tell you more about it so get in touch with me so that i can fully detail you what i choose you for and as well give you a little knowledge on how to achieve it.

Any delay in your respond will give me room to seek for another Moslems organisation or individual for this same purpose.

Until i hear from you my dreams lay hugely on your shoulders
I am waiting to read from you soon

This is definitely an internet fraudster without a doubt and I solicit the wikinut administration or moderators to act swiftly on this account before it adds mediocrity to this wonderful community of writers. Furthermore, I would like other writers and colleagues of mine to take note of not just this account, but subsequent ones to come. I have decided to leave all its comments on my pages with an accompanying comment from me telling the account what it is; to let subsequent readers know that the account isn't just a fraud but is not acceptable in this community. I wouldn't be surprised to get the same message from the same account when this article is published!

You wanna join this great community of writers, share your thoughts and knowledge, learn, be loved and at the same time earn? You are on the right page my dear, just click on THIS LINK.

Have had many from the African world too spamming but honestly, these are more people who are trying to legitimize their so called lives with the hope of money laundering but not without making you pay first. That is how they make their money. Dealt with many like these. Responded to a few just to learn them and found what they did, they ask either for sex, marriage, money and above all a better life.
Some of them are just spurious marketer who need more livelihood. So it is all money centric as many of these spammers are people who generate incomes using bulk emails etc. Its just the excessively populous pages like LoverME for example who hopes to make money with two lines of work and cry poverty and inability to feed the kids the next and wanting to die.
Respect you Funam, I am talking from personal experience here.

Many of them are not from Nigeria. They are around you but they collaborated with the Nigerians so it is very difficult for you to nail them down.

Scammers seem to find a way into every aspect of our modern life and the internet turned out to be very lucrative to them. They can hide out in cyberspace and no one knows who they are. Sadly, there are so many people who naively believe their stories. Nice article, Funom!

But it was a lovely experience getting to your profile for the first time... Thanks for your rightful comments and it seems it will prove very difficult to fight these scammers, but we are getting there

Friday, October 26th 2018 started out like most other days, only it was kind of special for me because I had bought my first home, I bought a home in Redfield, Iowa, and I was moving that day. Around noon-ish, the movers had left, my son-in-law had left and my sister was coming up to help me pack. I and my sister took a break for lunch. Since my car was full with moving supplies, the pair traveled in my sister's truck to Casey's General Store, where they bought coffee, pizza and some lottery tickets. "I got my lottery tickets and we went back out to her truck, I kind of just set those down at the foot in my purse — or so I thought — and didn't think of them again until Sunday morning.

On Sunday, a friend informed me that the winning tickets had been sold in Iowa and New York. When i went to look for the tickets in my purse, they weren't there. I called my sister, who found the tickets in her truck and sent me a picture of the numbers. I entered the numbers into the Power ball website, where winning numbers show up in red, and got a response of "red, red, red, red, red, red — jackpot." I won Three Hundred And Forty Three Million, Nine Hundred Thousand Dollars ($323,900,000)

I told my sister, Get that ticket, get in your truck and get up here now — and drive slow.

I want you to know that as I stand here today, marvelspelltemple@gmail. com is my source of winning. I met with Dr. Muna a strong Spiritualist whatsapp number +2348071660388. I was able to won the IOWA Power ball with his Trusted winning numbers I know the responsibility that I have to do good with this money, My life is changed forever.
