Trump ruled over the Debate!

First shots were fired in the 2016 U.S. Presidential race on Thursday with the Republican Debate. There will be a diverse field to choose from as candidates fight for attention to get their message across. This debate not only had candidates poking jabs at each other but also with media. Donald Trump the current poll leader had a heated exchange with Fox News Moderator Megan Kelly as she had several sharp questions for Mr. Trump in relation to being disrespectful to women. She pointed to on a couple of comments he said in the past. Mr. Trump fired back that Megan was being disrespectful in asking questions that singled him out. He stated he had come to debate to address important matters facing the nation. We need to focus on the issues such as competition from Russia and China, the economy, the deficit, and immigration.

Mike Huckabee held his own concerning benefit programs such as Social Security and Medicare. He also stressed the need to maintain a strong military and replace our aging B-52 bomber fleet.

Rand Paul and Chris Christie sparred with each other concerning the NSA, the Bill of Rights, and the role of government.

John Kaisch looked good in explaining the economic recovery in Ohio with job creation, growth and deficit reduction.

Jeb Bush tried to explain his Middle East policy and how and it would differ from previous administrations.

Ted Cruz, Scott Walker, and Ben Carson struggled with getting their messages out leaving people wondering why they were there in the first place.

The overwhelming thought about this first debate is not whether Donald Trump will be the Republican nominee, but that he is setting the tone as to what issues will be covered in future debates.

If the American people make Trump their President, they really will have taken leave of their senses!

However, I can't see that happening, because he will have offended so many people by the time the votes are cast that he won't get a look-in.
