With UFC 200 right around the corner, the Ultimate Fighting Champion is giving gamers an opportunity of a lifetime!

EA Sports And UFC Team Up for UFC 200

The UFC, Ultimate Fighting Champion, has always gone out of their way to provide gamers with a exciting, intense video games. In fact, the sport first delved into the video game industry, during the reign of the original PlayStation. Although their game didn't generate a great deal of success, it was there and diehard fans certainly enjoyed and appreciated the experience. The company also had games on follow up systems, but they've only gained popular as of late and while working with the now defunct THQ.

A Tournament For Gamers

Of course, the real excitement is just beginning. According to Broker Newswire, the UFC and EA Sports has decided to provide gamers with a highly competitive experience. Starting Saturday (5/14/2016), gamers will be able to engage in online fights as usual. However, the matches will not be monitored and points will be awarded to the winners. Those that manage to win will be able to win an assortment of rewards, including in-game items. Sure, this might not be impressive, but the in-game items are simply a blimp on the radar.

Gamers, who manage to score the most points, will be invited to the UFC's upcoming Fan Expo. The event, which takes place in Las Vegas, will serve several different purposes. It'll get fans excited about the upcoming UFC 200 event, will allow fans to meet their favorite fighters, and it'll pit gamer against gamer. Those with the top scores will go to war at the Fan Expo and the one that emerges victorious will be called the champion. They'll also take home $10,000!

If you have the UFC 2 video game, you owe it to yourself to play it online right now. Even if you don't become champion, you could get invited to the Fan Expo, score free tickets to UFC 200, or just win some cool in-game item. Surely, that is more than enough of a reason to give the game another go.
